Remarks
VIT is a good Institute with attractive Infrastructure. The Faculty Of the Institute is also good. So, if you are thinking to do some courses, don't worry just apply to this institute because the placements are good enough and you will get good opportunities in top companies you are looking for world-class facilities you have come to the right place. VIT has very good lab facilities and students are encouraged to use them as much as they can for projects and other non-curricular activities. It was ranked among India's top engineering colleges and private universities.
Entrance Preview
I took the Postgradudation entrance exam conducted by VIT. Prior to that, I have cleared the GATE exam which helped in getting Stipend. After getting rank in the entrance exam of VIT I went for counseling.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was a good curriculum designed. More focus on research-based study rather than books reading. focus on lab, practical knowledge is given and the suggestion was welcomed of any kind. From time to time seminars and workshops are conducted to encourage more practical learning.
Internships Opportunities
I was provided with a DST stipend since I was a GATE qualified student. which was for complete two years of PG.the college indeed provided the internship for nine months which is required to complete the postgraduate course.
College Events
To be honest Campus life in VIT is awesome if you participate in the different activities that are happening on campus. There are events organized by different clubs, bands practising in the music room, people playing football/basketball/volleyball on different courts. Auditions for the dance club and fashion club are usually high profile events and Anna Auditorium is full of people hooting and cheering. The literary clubs let it be ELA(English Literary club) or HLA (Hindi ), Telugu club is also very active. There is a strong presence of the Red Cross as they organize blood drives and different health check-ups. Toastmaster International club has grown and is an awesome place to meet new people. The Debate Society is also another such place. The technical clubs like IEEE/IEI/ISTE / CSI etc keep their club members engaged in activities. Basically, you have a lot of opportunities to explore your interests, but you need to get involved. If you prefer going from class to hostel you'll miss out on all of it not to forget the grand event of Rivera and gravitas.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I would rather say it was OK as I was getting a monthly stipend in M.Tech. But hostel and mess fees are moderate. Don't let money change your opinion. Each college gives you a whole experience. It's never just about studies. total fees for 2 years was 4Lc including the study mess and hostel.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have availed of the DST scholarship which is been awarded to students who are GATE qualified apart from that VIT offers various different scholarships within college and sponsorship to the various student based upon merit.
Hostel Facilities
Mess: I would say it's good, In breakfast, the juice is served along with breakfast. Also, the breakfast has a lot of variety every day. In lunch, you can choose from veg and non-veg plus there is a complimentary drink. In dinner, it's almost the same as lunch. In other words, the quality of food at the special mess is somewhat better and some extra supplements are available to choose from. Plus, the mess is never crowded and you can get food within a minute of your entry. Hostel is good spacious (depending upon the sharing) with good and clean toilets, cold water to drink and 24 hrs electricity.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very helpful, even the Ph.D. scholars are very helpful in every aspect. Interaction is very frequent and good. They will help in the lab curriculum.
Exam Structure
The exam is very much flexible in VIT as you can choose the course according to you, the LAB exam too is good since in college they will make you understand the course well so no issues in the exam.No I would say that hectic days few very less not regular.
Admission
I took the Postgradudation entrance exam conducted by VIT. Prior to that, I have cleared the GATE exam which helped in getting Stipend. After getting rank in the entrance exam of VIT I went for counseling. Their different branches were allocated on basis of rank in VITEEE.
Faculty
The teachers were very supportive and well qualified. I learned so many things in college, not just academically but also on the whole how an educational institute works like. Teaching semester-wise was different for me, so trying to keep up with time and finishing the syllabus keeping in mind the students didn't feel rushed was a huge concern. In the end, you had no option but to trust students that they would also give their best at studying deeply what has been taught in a rushed manner, and off course come up with problems and questions later on.
