My journey in CURAJ

I applied for IITs in CS and electronic and communication branches but didn't get into that. As for my program in CURAJ, the minimum percentile for general in electronics and communication branch is 96.10(approx), for CS it is approx 97.4.

As I am not comfortable with CS coding courses, I like to get involved in the courses of designing PCB boards, working with IC's and feeling motivated while working with electronic components. Professors have very good qualifications in their respective fields like M.tech and Ph.D. from very recognized universities like IIT Kanpur, Kharagpur, and their teaching skills are also very nice but got a problem in one or two courses because of one or two professors' explaining ability. In the beginning, if you know how many marks your university fixes to clear the course then it will be easy to clear all semester courses.

Bolt IoT is providing a summer technical internship in web development training and IOT and machine learning training without any stipend, Tyke technologies Pvt. ltd in the managing sector with a stipend from 10000 -15000 /-month. Projects will be given to us in the 7th semester, so no comments about that one.

After the sixth semester, I heard that the students can sit for the placements. As I am the first batch from my college so no comments for that. But I heard for the other programs many companies like cognizant, byjus, and many more with the package of 8 and 10 LPA are hiring for the HR and IT sector but there are many offers with the package of 3-5.5 LPA like super77, Qspider and many more. From our college, I heard that the maximum package is placed for MBA with 40 LPA in 2017 but the average package for other programs is approx. 6 LPA, For my program there are no comments for a percentage of placements and my plan is to sit for GATE exam for higher studies in IITs.

The overall cost for the B.tech program is approx 6.5 lakh which includes hostel, mess tuition fees, and other charges also, as there is scholarship also but a very few for general category and I can also say that college also provides some financial assistance like giving some more time to deposit semester fees without any penalty charges but for limited cases of the student. As our batch is the first batch in B.tech so can't comment on on-campus jobs but I can say for other programs the college provides a good number of job offers also got technical summer internship opportunities from bolt IoT, success and many more and job offers from a company like cognizant, Manipal fintech, and many more.

As from the college side, many competitions throughout the year is taking place like singing, dancing, drama,.etc and for the annual function which is nearly be placed in the august end and some good webinars by well-known personalities like ISRO chairman, many from colleges, universities directors and CEO. For the classroom, it is nice good ventilated, space for a large number of students approx 200+ and there is greenery near all buildings that don't make the classroom suffocating. They are very well-scoped in sports also like volleyball, cricket, tennis, chess, carrom board, etc. and for some sports college also provide some inter, intra-department competition and also send a team for west zone games in cricket, volleyball for both boys and girls. The college has many clubs which are having their own responsibilities, and sites like curaj_tak, CURAJ are run by students.

Hostel rooms contain individual almirah, bed, mattress, chair, table but lamp and curtain, room with balcony also available but given by college authorities only And mess food is depends on individual taste. All week there is a different menu in the breakfast- poha, bonda , jalebi, paratha(plain), aloo paratha, pav bhaji, idli sambhar and for lunch and dinner dal and chawal are fixed but the seasonal vegetables are different in both meals with salad in both lunch and dinner. As for hostel registration, it is online and fee payment also online through a link and there is a WiFi password distributed for an individual to access which is having a limit of 10GB for a month. For a PG outside the campus, there is a hotel and PG's within an area near 150-200m.
