I have give UPSEAT exam in 2001 . Which was conducted by UP Gov for state engineering colleges. It was objective test for Math , Physics and Chemistry.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was very good. It was designed as per the standard engineering course which is being followed in all the good and reputed college. First year course was common for all the branch and then from second year onward we were getting our branch specific knowledge. In last semester it was Project only. In which we had to prepare something new and need to submit it before the semester end.
Internships Opportunities
No, we had to manage it by ourselves. Whenever it was semester break in 3rd year and 4th year. That time we had to plan internship for ourselves in some industry.
College Events
We had different technical function , in which other college team were called. other than that we had yearly fests which involves cultural and other activities . These all were financed by college it self to promote our talents . Venue was sometime college and sometime it was held it some auditorium.
Fee Structure And Facilities
We has to fee structure. One was paid seat and other Free seat. on the basis of Rank in UPSEAT exam, we used to get the seat free or paid. In 2005 free seat was of 19000 and paid was 63000 per year. I got rank 3000 in exam and I opted for free seat .
Fees and Financial Aid
No, there was no facility of scholarship other than standard rules given by Gov. like for SC/ST students they use to take low fee and for general candidate normal fee.
Campus Life
Gender ratio was 70:30 ( Boys : Girls ) extra curricular activities was being organised in form of sports and cultural fest. and every body can participate in that. We had many non Indian students here in college. So college had more precautions about the gender, race, religion etc things , to avoid any such incident related to it.
Alumni/Alumna
We had group of alumni on Google. We still communicate there. If any function is being held by college I sued to get communication from college.
Exam Structure
It was semester process. every 4-5 months we use to give the exam. And inbetween the semester we used to have sessional exams . So structure was like, semester paper were getting designed at university level and sessional exam were being held at college level. Both having different weightage.
Admission
After giving the UPSEAT state exam. I got results in form my rank in that exam. On the basis of rank, I was called for counselling in Lucknow for selecting the college. Then I selected this college on the basis of my rank and college review.
Faculty
As it was private college. So mist of the faculty was coming and going that time. But for each department , HOD was almost fix and was from reputed background. But other faculty were not permanent. They used to get change. So overall faculty part was average here.
