I took CET(common entrance test) . My brother was studying PUC in Mysore , so I wanted to study in Mysore only . Among all the colleges ., It is the best in Mysore . Also one of the top 5 colleges in Karnataka when I studied there.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum structure was well designed with a lot of focus to practical assignments . But a few lecturers don't follow it correctly . I would say , most of it is placement based than research . Focus is more on getting jobs than getting into research .
Internships Opportunities
It wasn't the case when I was there . I am not sure about it now .250 character length is bad . People can convey things in fewer words.
Placement Experience
Placements are the best things here I would say . If you are a computer science student, it is hard not to get a job . Back in 2011 , we had companies like Google, Cisco , Net app, National instruments visiting us which had high packages . Also companies like TCS, HCl , and other mass companies visit which help a lot of students in getting jobs .
Fee Structure And Facilities
I got a government seat . It was 18k per year back then . Not very expensive . Get rid of 250 char length thing . It does not add any value . People can convey things in fewer words .
Exam Structure
Our curriculum was autonomous . We had a lot of tests and surprise tests during the course but not very hectic . They were placed timely and were flexible with dates as well .I don't like 250 character length . I just have to type something so that it exceeds 250 chars which is bad .
Admission
Admissions were done through CET . Once you opt for the college in CET cell, you have to pay a certain fee and go to the college administrative block for rest of the formalities . I am not sure if the process has changed now .250 character limit is bad . People can convey things in lesser words .
Faculty
It depends on the professors . We had some really good professors for few courses and equally bad ones for few others . Best ones were the guest faculty who were from the industry . They help you understanding the industry standards and facilitate accordingly .
