I scored 80% in my intermediate and hence the admission into GITAM Institute for Management Studies was easy. I did not have to take any specific entrance test.

BBM offers you a range of academic pursuits. From economics to financial management to personality development. I loved studying every subject. On top of that, there are extra curricullar activities at college that help you build an overall personality. Presentations on State budget to business quiz, the whole curriculum focuses on making the student prepared for the real world.

I'm not sure about that because when I was graduating in GITAM, there was no concept of internship. They may have now.

Well, I have been with HSBC for last 13 years and thanks to GITAM for bringing HSBC to the campus. I guess this testament is more than enough to answer the question. GITAM ropes in few big giants - HSBC to Coca Cola to other FMCG cos. During my batch and later batches, GITAM has a great track record with HSBC and Coca Cola. They hired a lot from the BBM and MBA students.

Well, numerous events are celebrated. Inter college sports meet - this is where colleges from within the city are invites and competition is various events such as cricket, volleyball etc were help. This promoted sportsmanship. GEM - GITAM excellence meet. This is where the south india management college would be invited for competitions like business quiz, paper presentation, debates etc.

Well, GITAM was really affordable back then.I may have paid 35000 for tuition fee for my entire graduation. However, since the time GITAM has become an university and with many added course and benefits to the students, the new fee structure may be justified to an extent. I have no opinion in the current fee structure.

I can't really talk about that since I had no such scholarship options available back then. I did not need the loan since the fee was affordable. But there were many medals and donors given to the students after the graduation like gold medals, other honorary medals etc.

This is where a lot of work can be done. Alumni is the great strength of any college. The stronger the network, the better name and fame the college gets. I hope the management of the college takes a note of this and does something to better the Alumni network.

Exams are exams. GITAM has similar structure like any other college first term, mid term and pre-finals. But what was unique about the college was the quizzes that were conducted that were part of internal assessment. Students would be given a list of topics to be prepared and they would be quizzed individual to answer them.

Well, since I scored decent in my intermediate(excess of 80%), I simply had to fill attend an interview team with why I choose GITAM and why BBM in specific. After a brief chat and review of my credentials, I was allowed admission into he college. However, things changed in the last decade. The entrance is competitive now and looks like you have to take a standardised test and score a minimum threshold.
