Entrance Preview

I did not give any entrance examination. I came to know about this college through online. My father wanted me to study in Bengaluru. So, we searched a few colleges online. We considered a few colleges. This college look pretty good online and to be honest it is in actuality.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

New Horizon College of Engineering is an autonomous college. So, they have the privilege to focus more on their course curriculum. In the beginning, they told us about the benefit of being autonomous. They emphasis more on learning than just too get marks, which is just a test of a student's memory power. The course has a few difference than that of VTU.

Internships Opportunities

Since I am new, I am not sure about the internships. I will try to find out about all the internships and update later.

Placement Experience

5

The placements and job opportunities are good. Many recruiters come to this college. I personally know a few graduated and 4th year seniors who have got into good companies, IT and mechanical. They have good packages. The recruitment process is not so easy.

College Events

4.5

The college is known for Sargam, which is a inter-college festival. Sunburn is held here. Many national event and festivals are celebrated. On independence day, we hoisted the flag, sang the national anthem. Many pooja are celebrated with a bang. We mourn for the armies who sacrificed themselves for us.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For the ones who got good marks in entrance examinations, the fee structure for them are very less. For students who take admission through the management quota it is comparatively high but feasible. The hostel fees for a year is about Rs 90,000 to one lakh depending on the number of roommates.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the college avails good scholarship and loan facility for he deserving ones. Special attention for the girls. You have to fill the form with necessary details if you are eligible.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is nice and peaceful. Of course, the ratio is more inclined towards the males. But the number of females are not less. There are enough number of extracurricular and labs. Our college wins many intercollegiate sports competition in volleyball, baskerball, table tennis etc in both men and women categories.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni meets are organised by the college. I have little knowledge of alumni networking since I am a fresher.

Exam Structure

The exams and labs are very frequent. For first years, we go once a week to lab for each lab subjects. There are three internals and one semester end examination. Both of them are equally important. The marks are divided into half. Some may find the routine hectic.

Admission

We made a phone call to the college for further details. They gave us all the necessary information. Then we flew down from Delhi to Bengaluru. I had to fill up the admission form containing all the necessary details about me such as name, parents, name. family income, current and permanent address, class X and XII marks, entrance marks(if any).

Faculty

4.5

The faculty members are awesome. They all very passionate about their job. Our professors teaches us very well. They are all friendly and always ready to help us. The security guards are always on duty, sincerely devoting themselves for the college.
