Remarks

I had applied for various other colleges like BHU, Xavier's and got qualified as well but because of covid -19, i didn't take admission there! I didn't avail any quota for admission. I had applied for bachelor of commerce i.e, bcom Hons, and the minimum marks were different in all the colleges. But if you're having maths with commerce then you need to score more as compared to having any other subject with commerce. It was somewhere between 50% - 75%. In my college, it was 50% for my couse and the admission process started with having an online exam (due to the pandemic) . You have to score well to get yourself selected on the first list. But never mind, they also provide a second list. We had a counseling ceremony where we got to know about our seniors, teachers, faculty members deeply. We got to know about our college in depth.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course because being from a commerce background i was interested in this course as compared to any other course. The faculty here are all very well qualified but if it comes to rating them on their teaching method then I would rather say it really depends on the subject they teach. Like, for accounting and maths we have got really good teachers but for subjects like business law, i really can't lean on them. We have a total of 6 semesters and i guess it's all in the difference of 6 months. But for scoring well in the semesters you really have to study well especially for the end semesters.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is a bit expensive as compared to any other college of my state. We have to pay approximately 300000 for 3 years. But obviously, it depends, you'll be provided with various options like to pay in installments or in one time payment. We are provided with some financial assistance to get help. And when it comes to get job with stipend then i would say it's minimal. We don't get any higher paid jobs it's just 15-20k per month.

Campus Life

4.5

My college provides fest in the month of July mostly but because of the pandemic, we didn't availed that. There are many fest and functions in every department. And Of course, freshers and farewells are musts. We have two big libraries each containing books of different genres. The classrooms are really good and comfortable. They are not air-conditioned but they are really big and the teachers gets mics and smart boards. When it comes to sports, they provide us National level in sports. And we have sports like basketball, kabaddi, badminton, etc in our college. There are various extra curicular activities like dancing, singing, painting, etc. It all depends on your interest. We also get certificates for all these. My college also has social groups and websites which are maintained by the council members which are to be elected by the students every year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important. My era had no calculators and we needed to be proficient at paper and pencil solutions, but now, perfect calculations are available to everyone. We should focus on what kinds of problems can be solved with mathematics. Spelling is equally less important. Vocabulary should be stressed. My sister years ago was taking a test for a personal assistant position where she was asked to type a large number of words per minute error free.

Nothing influenced me yet i just have to go for it because of my graduation . Yes they prepare you good enogh for the rat race you are gonna do in coming future . The curriculam is a joke they will put information today and you have to get today only . I would suggest some of the rules and regulations should be maintained by the staffs and students even with teachers. Exams should in such manner no student can atleast face problems regarding admit cards and can cheat . there is no difficulty in in mid one but final one .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the B.Com curriculum at LNMU around 7.5/10 for relevance and coverage. I chose this course because it included all the important commerce subjects needed for government exams, higher studies like MBA, and basic professional courses. The syllabus builds a good theoretical foundation, but it lacks practical exposure like Tally, GST or real industry projects. Teaching methods are simple and could be improved with more modern, interactive approaches. Exams are held twice a year and follow predictable patterns, so the difficulty level is moderate. With notes and regular study, most students clear them easily.

Big 4 and some manufacturing companies who have large scale accounting are the ones who have partnered with college to get them the real workforce for their organisation. A lot of girls from our college who secured jobs from campus have helped the college build network and make sure every year maximum girls are placed from campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Firstly the college doesn't prepare students for the real world. Teaching methods of the teachers are okay but it doesn't help in the real world competition. No extra curricular activities are held for students. College gives enough time for preparation for the examination. Anyone can pass easily in this college.
