NIT Jamshedpur has a very good placement record according to the past few years. It has a new academic building which has changed its infra very much. Some faculties are nice and some are somewhat not but as it depends on us only so that it is not a matter of fact. It has a huge campus of around 354 acres. We have 6 technical clubs as, ecoriders, daksh, revanta, rays, drift racing team, phoenix and many cultural clubs as, rooh, faces, etc various sports club and others clubs like NSS which is managed by student and some deans. Specifically talking about ECE branch it has approx avg package of 10 lakh per annum as far as I know. Scholarship is also provided here like FFE and students get fee waiver in tuition fee according to their family income. Overall college is pretty good and is much improving.

Due to counselling, I got ECE and I can easily get into the software field from this branch. The teacher-student ratio is 1:7. All proffers are highly qualified from NITs IITs and various are pHd scholars. Exams are of moderate level. If one had studied properly he/she will face no problem.

You need to be very good in your academic as well as skills. Because in core jobs it will be very good for you if you have good knowing of your subjects, for tech jobs, it is required that you should have enough knowing of dsa, one language, dbms, networking, etc. For internships, you should have required to work on projects.

From 2nd year (3rd sem) onwards students are eligible to get internships and from 4th (7th sem) year students started getting placements. Placements and internship opportunities are very good at NIT Jsr special in CSE and ECE branch. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, TCS, Accenture, Samsung, Tata Steel and various other companies visited here.

The college fee is pretty high, 1.88 lakh per year. But students whose family income is less than 1 lakh got a 100% fee waiver and from 1-5 lakh per annum, family income students got a 2/3rd fee waiver. Scholarships like FFE is also available here which gives us approx 40000 per year.

The annual tech fest is - Ojass. The cultural fest here is culfest. There are 6 technical teams like team ecoriders, team, Phoenix, team relevant etc and various other cultural and sports clubs also like team room, team faces, NIT Jsr, Supreme Court, high court, etc. All sports are played on the campus and have a chess team, carrom board team etc. It has a big library, Gymkhana. Campus is around 354 acres.

The hostel is very very good here. We have megahostels in nitjsr. From 2nd year onwards we got a personal room. Mess is also good not much complainabale. Food is also good here. Hostels are very big and boys and girls hostel are separate and are approx 500 metres from our academic building. Costs of a hostel per year are 31000 and for the mess, it is 30000 per year.
