I didnt apply for any other college since I wanted to study in heritage and since it had got the marks that were required for admission I really did not require filling the forms of other colleges. I did not avail any quota for admission the admission criteria in heritage academy, Kolkata for the BCA course was 60% marks in hs and has to have maths or computer in their plus 2. and about age it was between 17-21. not more than 2years gap There was no such counseling day. To avail this stream i had to visit the college. in the admin office, two staffs were present who checked my result, verified by birth proof, and then handed me the forms. i had to fill them, give the admission fee, did some signatures and i was good to go

i chose this course bachelor's of computer application(BCA) due to my immense passion for coding and programming languages. I did not like the subjects physics and chemistry so didnt go for btech The faculty-student ratio in heritage is really great. The faculty is super approachable and friendly. even when the class hours were over they did not mind giving us extra lectures in the library when we asked for them. Most of the professors were pursuing PhD while they were teaching in the college. somewhere masters and B.ed In the first year, we had the concept of internals. each sem consisted of two internals followed by a semester exam. the level of the questions was standard and it was difficult to pass without studying

There were no paid internships that were offered by the heritage academy placement cell. Yes there was a program that was introduced by WIPRO that is their wish program. An internship cum job that has a contract of 60 months. The trainee needs to work on the weekdays and will be offered a MTECH program in BIRLA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY and will be offered a stipend of 16,00,000 per month which can rise upto 25k in the final year. Other than this there were internships or rather learning programs for which the students had to pay in order to learn certain things like machine learning, AoT, AI, Web technology, etc. Apart from this the college had introduced us to internshala where the students got internship based on their skills.

Students in heritage academy become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester(final year). The companies that visited heritage academy for placements are some of the renowned companies like Delloitte, Cognizent, SAP Labs,LTI,Wipro,TCS, Capgemini etc. not sure about the exact no. of offers made but around 60 candidtes got placed and some of them got more than 1 job. So the placement was decent even during pandemic. According to stats probably the highest package was offered by Deloitte which is 3.82 lakhs and the average package was of 2.8 lakhs. Some of the profiles offered were associate analyst, projevt trainee, sytem trainee, intern analyst, software engineer etc. Not sure about the exact figure but 58% students got placed My current plan is to join the job and gain experience. I also plan to do post graduation alongside work.

The cost of studying for bachelors of computer application in The heeritage Academy is 2,92,000 approx in 3 years. Though quite an amount it is and especially for niddle class family, still any technical or professipnal costs this much in these recent days. I didnt get any scholarship for pursuing this course and there are no such scholarship programs here in this college. The fees hike is quite huge i feel. because in our next year the fees was increased from 486000 to 52,000. So increasing the amount without any change in the infrastructure is unacceptable. Financial assistance is quite decent here a we are allowed to pay the fees in stalment in crucial cases The job i got from heritage in the campus placements is of an associate analyst in DELOITTE USI with a package of 3.8 lpa.

The name of the annual fest in heritage is called Epignosis and it takes place around November month. The fest is quite a thing in heritage and the students really do enjoy this time of the year. The books which are related to our subjects are all available in the library. Other books are also available for reference purposes. a large variety of books related to wildlife, photography, Indian history is available in the college library. We dont have an AC in our classrooms but the rooms are quite spacious and the desks and tables are in proper order. We have more than 3 auditoriums and a variety of programs are celebrated here throughout the year Life in heritage is super awesome when it comes to annual sports, fun activities, and extracurricular activities. We have a game room for indoor activities and also 3 big playgrounds for outdoor sports. There are a variety of clubs like ART club, DANCE club, SINGING club, Rotaract, etc which are run by the college students.
