Entrance Preview

I took the MAT, and I scored 96 percentile. Out of all the colleges, I opted for XIME because my college professor advised me to, citing it as the best college out of all that accepted MAT scores.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is satisfactory with many electives for a student to choose from. However, the details of the course plan is not shared till the course commences leaving the students to research themselves about the subject and the areas it may focus on.

Internships Opportunities

The college brings companies for internship. However, many of them are startups and which do not provide more than Rs. 10,000 a month, and some don't pay at all. Some of the students get placed in good companies, such as Dell, Samsung, Britannia, KPMG, HAL, Bosch etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement is good, with the placed percentage being almost 95% every year and the average being 6.5 lakh rupees per year for freshers and around 8 lakh rupees per year for students with a few years of work experience. Some of the companies that come for placement are KPMG, Dell, E&Y etc. as well as many startups.

College Events

2.5

The yearly management fest, Ximera is held in the month of November- December, and is wholly organised by the students. There are different competitions in the fields of Business Quiz, Marketing, Operations, Finance, HR, Best Manager etc. XIME doesn't participate in these competitions and acts only as a host. Management colleges all over India are invited to participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since availing hostel facility is compulsory, the total fees for 2 years comes up to Rs 11 lakhs. The average placement is 6.5 lakh rupees per year for freshers and around 8 lakh rupees per year for students with a few years of work experience. Thus, the ROI is satisfactory. Plus, XIME provides various platforms for the students to showcase as well as develop their skills.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarship and loan schemes available, based on the performance in the examinations and the financial situations of the students respectively. However, a student cannot apply for a scholarship for more than one term.

Campus Life

2.5

Xime has a gender ratio of 50-50%, with the 2017 batch having a ratio of 60% girls. Apart from that, there are students from all over India, and there is at least one student from almost all the states in India. This makes XIME a very colorful place and there sre ample opportunities to learn new languages and cultures.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facility is good. Rooms are on a 3 sharing basis, in alphabetical order. Students are allowed to choose their roommates from the 2nd year onwards. Sometimes it leads to clashes because of the diversity as students from all over India study in XIME, but most of the time it's an enthralling experience. The mess food is satisfactory.

Exam Structure

We have 3 terms in a year, making it a trimester system. The exams do make it a little hectic, including mid terms, end terms, class tests, assignments etc. Additionally, the grading system is CGPA based which makes it even more competitive and hectic.

Admission

After the MAT results were out, I filled the form for admission through shiksha.com. My hometown is Assam, and the nearest GD/PI session at that time was in Kolkata. So I booked my flight to Kolkata, and the GD/PI session was held in St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. There were around 30 students in my time slot, and the GD discussion topic was on the latest Union Budget.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is satisfactory, as in like every other college XIME too has exceptionally good faculty as well as average faculty. Apart from the regular faculty, we also have visiting faculty for some of the electives. All the faculty is dedicated and any doubts can be cleared outside the classroom to.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
