I chose to do my BCOM Hons from Bhawanipur education society, Kolkata. Accompanied by many other reasons, my primary reason for taking admission at this college is that I'm pursuing my CA course along with. And for that you will need a college that provides you with a lenient attendance policy, bhawanipur is the best option as bhawanipur provides you with its best attendance policy, where students aren't required to attend the college regularly. Still, a minimum of attendance is required as it is not a non-attending college. The best thing is that you need not be an academically bright student to get admission here. The average ones work. The eligibility criteria is a minimum of 50% in aggregate and students easily get seats here, especially for BCOM as the college has 80% + seats just for the BCOM course. The admission process is very easy and well explained on the college's website. If you've got 80% above in your 12th examinations, you will surely get admission in the morning batch.

I chose to do BCOM Hons because it really helps me to manage my CA course as the syllabus remains quite the same. There are two batches, i.e., morning and evening for the B.Com course. Students can enroll in any of those batches based on their convenience The facilities at Bhawanipur are very qualified and knowledgeable. They're all easily accessible by their students for help. There are about 14+ sections for the BCOM course ( in the morning shift itself ) so this really helps in maintaining the teacher-student ratio. The course curriculum is as per Calcutta University and exams are also conducted as per the notifications by Calcutta university itself. The teachers will teach you all the concepts beforehand in the exams, you just need to pay nominal attention to it. Passing exams at Bhawanipur is not really a challenge as the exams are quite easy. A student can score well easily. In this pandemic situation, the exams were conducted online mode with utmost sincerity and conviction.

Coming to amenities, bhawanipur provides you with the best it can, including, the well-conditioned big fat classrooms, WiFi networks for students purposes, canteen, dedicated sports arena separately for indoors and outdoors, and the LIBRARY is the best of rest ( you can refer to Google images ) Also, It is located in the heart of the city I.e, bhawanipur. So you can really enjoy a well-versed neighborhood. The only drawback is that the college doesn't have a hostel facility of its own but you can easily avail of different housing options, Bhawanipur has many housing options.
