CMR Diaries

I have applied to many colleges in Telangana. According to my inter results and EAMCET rank, I got an admission to CMR Technical Campus. The government has alloted me to this college under the convenor category. As I belong to the BC category, I got an opportunity for fee reimbursement. So, as soon as I got the allotment order, I went to the college for a joining report for accepting college admission. I gave all my necessary certificates and paid fees. Some of my friends who didnt qualify for EAMCET got admission to this college under the management category for which they have to pay a lot of amount. Overall infrastructure, management of the college is good with facilities.

There are various courses like Mechanical, civil, EEE, IT, ECE and CSE. I got a Computer Science course for my rank, so I should take that. Faculty here are good and teach well whose designations are M.Tech and some of them have PHDs also. Overall teaching is good with a 1:60 ratio of faculty and students. We will have 2 midterm exams per semester. Total we have 8 semesters for which 16 midterm Exams are conducted. Midterm Exams are conducted to take for internal marks of 25% and the rest 75% is taken under semester final exam. Midterm exams are not that hard, we can pass if have done the required preparation.

There are some companies that offered internships also like EPAM. But for which later, they would give full-time role. Most of the internships stipends are around 20000 or 15000. I have done a mini project in my 7th semester which title is the concerts ticket booking.

From a placement point of view, our college is in no backward. The tpo always tries to bring the best companies to the college. From the 6th semester, students become eligible for placements. Companies like Capgemini, TCS, DXC technologies, amazon, EPAM, Net Crackers, Optum, Tech Mahindra and many more companies visited and the no of offers they gave also is in good number approximately around 200+. There is a minimum percentage a student should possess to be allowed for placements, i.e. 60%. I would definitely work for a company after getting a degree and start my career.

The fees here is 58000 per year. Students who belong to backward classes can avail government scheme of fee reimbursement for which the student can get an opportunity to not pay the whole amount. We do have a scholarship facility. Students who belong to backward classes can also apply for government scholarships through college for which they get some financial support. There are placements coming on campus. So students can also crack some exams and get placed in top companies. I got placed in one of the reputed company with a 3.8 LPA.

There are various cultural activities conducted in college like annual day, traditional day, freshers day, some tech fests etc. We do have various clubs in our college like Sports club, Akruthi club, innovative club, photographic club and many more. Iam part of the Akruthi Club. There are various sports competitions held on some sports like Cricket, Basketball, Badminton etc. We do have an indoor and outdoor sports facility with a gym also. The classroom is equipped with smart digital projectors and a sound system. Labs are well equipped with computers, ac and many facilities.
