I took admission after giving exam UPSC exam. I have 7000 General Rank. Since I have to go for CS. It is affiliated with AKTU. In AKTU colleges, it is good in discipline and fine curriculum. We have fest and other programs within the institute. Even, in terms of ragging, there was no such a thing.

With the coming world, CS is the demand of today's era. I wanted to learn so I joined it. We do have a good and large staff. Talking about the faculties, as we know there is always variety present. Some are good, some are still trying in this arena. In fact, I prefer the faculty of the subjects I like. So overall it is fine in faculties. Exams are held by AKTU, Lucknow. All affiliated colleges give the same exam. About passing exams, sometimes papers are tough, sometimes easy. But paying attention to class, faculties do help a lot to pass the exams. But yes I would say the course curriculum, subjects that were applied in CS course by the AKTU were bit outdated. Some improvement is needed in this regard.

There were internship opportunities provided by the college. I joined the TCS internship. But we do have cons in project development. Faculties don't help much in project making. We have to choose and learn the technologies ourselves and go with them to develop. We do have problems in making projects, since the technologies in our curriculum are outdated, not in use anymore.

Students become eligible for the placements from the 7th semester. Also the AKTU help in placements of the affiliated colleges. We have UIIC board in AKTU, many placements were offered from there. The highest placement was offered before Corona in Amazon of 18 LPA. In corona times, there was a recession. But companies came with a package of 3 to 8 LPA. And maximum students were placed in companies like Accenture, TCS, Daffodil, Cognizant, HCL, Hexaware. Also, startups like RxLogix hired people. There were jobs offered in Sales too.

SRMS is well for the scholarship policies. It gives scholarships to merit students. In fact, I received a scholarship of 91,000 for my 1st-year result and 88,000 for my 2nd-year result. Third-year was disturbed by corona. And even the placement cell is active in providing opportunities to students. According to their caliber, they can perform and get the jobs. College, do call companies in college too. It is fine from a placement perspective too.

We have a cultural fest known as Zest that happens in an odd semester i.e. around October. It is a big event that takes place in one. It includes Amod, sport even too. In sports, all schools of Bareilly are invited to play and the cultural fest is also a big one. There are many committees made to manage different programs and art and craft made for the fest. Also, we have a technical fest twice the year. One is big that we have in Feb in the odd semester. It includes activities of all kinds and from all courses. Robotics club and all other Equinox clubs do conduct the activity.

Since I have my 12th percentage and my UPTU result with me. So I got admission after a short interview. But college conducts a test for admissions too. If you are studying 12th fine, you will be able to get. Also if you have a good percentage in 12th, you will be able to get in. But the discipline of the college is very strict. The Proctor board is very strict in our college. I must say, we too even have a problem with the strictness of the proctorial board.
