A good college with many opportunities.

I applied for the Btech Computer Science specialization in Artificial intelligence and Machine learning course through the online form available on the institute website. They asked for my class 10 and 12 marks and some other details. It was then followed by a Personal interview. After few days I received a confirmation call from the Institute about my admission to the course followed by other formalities.

I choose this course because I was interested in Computer Science. The faculty is good and highly qualified. There are approx 15 faculty members and a max of 65 students per class. Every theory and the practical subject has its own allotted teacher. Many Assignments and Class Tests are conducted to take us through the subject. Each semester 4 Assignment test, 2 Class test, and 1 Pre University exam is conducted which helps us to perform well in our external examination.

There are various internship programs done in college. Various companies give internship opportunities. Some big companies are Adobe, Microsoft, and Infosys. Some give a good stipend sone not. Many projects are given related to our daily life problems, solving which we all can learn to face any situation in our life.

The placement season generally begins in the 6th-7th semester but the preparation starts way before. The college gives training classes to help students prepare. This training helps in both placements and other competitions. Students get placed in companies like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and many more. Recently 65% of students got placed from the previous batch. The average salary offered to them was 5-6 LPA and the highest package offered was 19 LPA.

The annual tuition fee is 1,09300 and the annual co-curricular activities fee is 61,000 which in total makes up to 1,70,300 per year. If someone has to avail bus facility then they have to pay 36000 per year for it. The Institute has well-maintained A/C buses. There may be a fee hike of 5% every year.

The infrastructure of PSIT is eye captivating and the institute is situated on a lush green campus which is very enchanting. There are two hygienic canteens where students can enjoy the different types of foods and then there is a counter of Nescafe and brio where students can enjoy delicious beverages. There is also a library where students can have access to different types of books related to their studies and academics. The classes are well equipped and there is a fleet of AC buses which students can be avail to reach college. College also has a fest called IGNITIA which is awesome but due to present covid situations, it could not be held. We also have many technical and non-technical fest which students can enjoy along with their studies.

There was a personal interview that was conducted after considering my application for admission to the course. It was a smooth interview and the interviewer was very friendly. They asked some basic questions and why I choose the course and at last they just gave me to write a code in java as I told them I am qualified in java language.
