GAURAV SHARMA's Review On Lakshmi Narain College Of Technology - [LNCT], Bhopal

College management is great our OSD Dr. Ashok Rai maintains the college well. He's the powerhouse of the whole college. He takes care of everything of whats happening in the college and what are the necessary actions are required to be taken. Overall to say his management is very good.

Entrance Exam in which i appeared to get this college:- I took PET in 2013 and scored 98 marks in it and then opted for this particular college because it is the best in Bhopal. Why i opted for this college this college is affiliated from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya University. Discipline is great here, faculties are nice, lab equipments are also maintained and in good condition, library is huge, infrastructure is good. This college is one of the oldest and best college in Bhopal. One more speciality is that this college is the only college in Bhopal which offers great placement opportunities especially in IT companies like Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc.

Well talking about the course curriculum as our college is running under RGPV's guidelines, focus on research is very limited. But yeah if you want to do anything regarding to research you can work on you will be provided liberty for it. Even some faculties are so brilliant as they even help their students in many ways to achieve their goals and they even organise field visits to do a detailed study about the trade.

Yes, our college provides internship. Last year talking about especially of my branch(civil engineering) people from RealCadd centre, Bangalore took 10 students for internship programme of 1 month. Talking about th experience its great.

Placement is great here. As compared to other colleges in the city our college provides a lot more opportunities. This year the companies that came to our college are Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Zykus, L&T infotech, etc. Placement for CS and IT students is best in our college. Almost 95% of students of CS, IT, EC , EE, and EI are placed.

Our college organises sports meet every year in which students from our colleges and from other colleges participate we even organise Tech Fest every year in which a lot of events are there to participate talking about the events in tech fest: LAN gaming, treasure hunt, dancing, singing, rock show, snakes and ladders, paint ball, go cart, chess, carromboard , street cricket, drawing, etc.

Fee structure is very feasible our yearly fees is Rs 75000/- this includes Bus fee for transportation and library and lab fees. You can even split this fees by paying in semesters overall Degree fees is About Rs 3 lakhs hostel Fees is not included.

Students who are coming from MP board who scored more than 75% are eligible for scholarship , they can ask for scholarship in the scholarship department of our college. A department is opened for students so that students can easily get their scholarship. RGPV even offers TFW quota to get admission in the college to students who have family income less then 4.5 lakhs.

Well campus life is average, as our college is in little bit outer from Bhopal city on Raisen Highway so at night outside the college premises you will find nothing. But yeah some good restaurants are opened in front of the college. Campus life is average gender ratio is M:F::1:1 in extracurricular activities we have all the sports, ofcourse yeah robotics, debates, dance, music, LAN gaming, etc labs are very good, equipments are great and works well , easy to understand.

Well i dont live in the hostel and havent eaten any mess food ever but my firends who live in the hostel say the hostel is not that good. But yeah condition of rooms it fine, sometimes there is problem of water in toilets, else everything is okay. So according to me if you want rating, then:- 0-NOT GOOD AT ALL 10-EXCELLENT My rating: 5.

Talking about my seniors , well yeah they helped me like my real brah! they actually did a lot to me . Helped me and guided me on how to improve the scores and how to tackle the exams and even helped me in the minor project. One of my senior is placed in Maruti Steel Parts Ltd., Pune.

Well in every semester we have to go through two mid semester examinations (midsem1 and midsem2) and then at the end of semester we have to give final examination taken by RGPV. Labs yeah a lil hectic as you have to go in labs everyday depending upon the subject you have.

How i got admission in this College I have given MPPET exam in 2013 and scored 98 marks out of 200 then I have registered through MP online for the counselling then After a week or two i have got my this college and that too in BE civil engineering, that's all i wanted so that's how i got this college current Procedure For Admission:- Earlier procedure is given above but from last two years admission procedure is changed. MPPET is obsoleted and intead of it the admission process is by IIT JEE mains exam to get this college you have to appear in IIT JEE mains exam after that again you have do online registration for counselling and branch is alloted on the basis of your exam marks then go with your counselling result into college and take admission this is the procedure based on merit list.

Faculty of the college is quite average, some faculties barely know anything, some have knowledge but dont know how to present it but some faculties are excellent. A lot of good professors are also here. They know everything about the trade and in other fields too.
