Remarks
Currently, I am pursuing my B.TECH degree from SGSITS INDORE in IT branch. The reason is placement and inership opportunities in 3rd year there are 3 months paid inerships which offers 1 lakh ruppes and a job recommendation letter depends on your work. I applied for NIT's, GFTI's (Govt. Institutes) through JEE.Govt.Institute selects students on the basis of their JEE Rank. As for the admission process, it depends on the cut off it fluctuates every year. Also, there are so many quotes you can apply for instead of the category quota like a freedom fighter, defence, even for gen category EWS. To apply for sgsits you have to apply through mpdte counselling because it's a gfti it's not in the JOSAA counselling list. And the dates for both the counselling are different (mpdte is state-level counselling it gives preferences to the mp domicile holders) and JOSAA is a national level counselling it starts after the result of JEE advanced. Make sure to check the websites.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for this course because I was interested in app development, coding and technical work. Faculties are amazing they are so experienced and highly qualified they are from the NIT's and other institutes. They personally help each student if they reach out to them. Even in the online lectures, they tried to make the session so much interactive by different methods like they organized quiz, demo viva and extra classes and doubt session before exams. There are mid sem exam every month and they are not so tough if you do the assignments and questions what the teacher gave you for practice during the lecture you can score good marks.
Internships Opportunities
There are paid internships for 3rd-year students from companies like Amazon, Google, Mahindra which offers 50k to 1 lakhs certificate and a recommendation letter based on one's skills. The role differs for different branches. First, they provide you with guidance and teach you the work. There is so many session for the student's webinars and they gave certificate to the students for attending their session which they can show on their cv.
Placement Experience
After 3rd-year students are eligible to sit on campus. The highest package was 44 lakhs and the average was 5 lakhs. Many prestigious companies like Microsoft Amazon Google came every year and around 70% to 80% of students are getting placements. After completing my degree I wanted to do my post-graduation from abroad.
Fees and Financial Aid
You have to pay the fees in two half in 6 months. First half in the 1st sem and the 2nd half in the 2nd sem. There is scholarship like Medhavi Chatra Yojana for which your jee rank should be under 1,50,000 under this your full college and hostel fees (not mess fees) will be refunded at the end of the year(same for medical students their neet rank under 1,50,000) also there are scholarships for St, sc, obc. Also, there is a scholarship for st, sc students who want to study abroad.
Campus Life
Due to the pandemic, I only get a chance to visit the college 2-3 time but when I saw the campus it was good. There is a library, basketball court, football ground, badminton court and a gym. Also, there are so many cultural and tech fest like Goonj, Avam organised by the college clubs. Kshtij club, Trivim, Ojaswa, E-cell are the clubs. As this year everything is online they organised so many activities and competitions on the social media platform.
