I am a graduate in Production And Industrial Engineering from MNNIT ALLAHABAD. The only admission process is to get the required JEE MAINS RANK. For Mechanical you have to get a rank (<10000). For Production And Industrial Engineering(<20000).
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Btech, Production, and Industrial Engineering because it has sort of Mechanical as well as Industrial Management aspects. The No. of Students In my batch-40 (38 boys, 2 girls). Teachers are no doubt highly educated and experienced. Some of them are strict, some are lite. We had 2 semesters each year and 1 mid-semester for each semester. The exams paper specially for Mechanical is quit tough, but you can pull it off if you pay attention to class.
Internships Opportunities
YOU will be eligible for internships from the 3rd year onwards. Many companies visit for an internship like Reliance, UPL, etc. You will have to go through written tests and interviews for getting an internship. Try to have maximum projects to get more chance of being selected.
Placement Experience
Placements are excellent for CSE and IT and ECE students, for MECHANICAL, Electrical, PIE, AND BT its above average. From the 4th year onwards you will be eligible for placements. Highest package-51 LPA (CSE).
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure - 150000/year. There is no yearly hike policy but it may get hiked if needed. There is no such scholarship from college but, every year TOP 5 students of each branch get some scholarship. (5000 in 1st year and 20000 from 2nd year onwards).
Campus Life
It's pretty exciting here(especially for Hostellers). We have a lot of fests here. Technical fest (Avishkar)-NOV-DEC. Cultural fest(CULRAV)-In March. Sports Fest(April). In the library generally, most of the books are available. There are also many clubs here like Robotics club, Aeroclub, music club.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are pretty good in 1st year. You will not find any hostel better the this (not even in IITS I guess). But from the 2nd year, it will be like normal(4 boys in 1 room). The mess is ok(not so good, like you will get a crazy amount of potatoes every day).
