IIPS - Three years of ecstasy

I had applied for the International Institute of Professional Studies, Indore which is a department of DAVV University. Due to the lockdown conditions, the admission was done on a merit basis, giving 80% weightage to class 12th marks and 20% to class 10th marks. Normally this college takes an entrance test "CET" for admission. I had also applied to Delhi university but could not make it because of high cut-offs.

I chose this course because it is really demanding and my college is known for this course especially. Different faculties have come from a great background and they are really experienced. Many faculties are from the topmost B-schools of India. Because of their experiences we get a mixture of almost everything. Besides the regular studies, they help us in getting internships and also help us in choosing our careers when we are in doubt. We also have great doubt clearing sessions. Even in lockdown, there were regular online classes and they were productive enough. There are 3 internals in one semester and then comes the End-sem exam. The 1st internal covers half of the syllabus and the 2nd internal covers the other half of the syllabus. The third internal consists of assignments like ppts, written projects, researches etc. Two internals are to be given compulsorily. The marks of these 2 internals constitutes 40% weightage in the cgpa the rest is covered by End-sem exam.

I had not personally opted for an internship as I am in my first year right now but my seniors got good internships with a sufficient stipend. You can get an internship in social. works also. According to my, the college is not really involved in getting internships for the students. Students generally rely on websites like Internshala for internships.

Mamy students get placed in IT companies. The average salary package offered is 6 lakh per annum and the highest salary package offered is 10 lakh per annum. A placement cell is also available in our college and is very useful. The college provides internship regularly. The highest salary was offered by FICO. TCS, FICO, cognizant, Wipro, Infosys Mahindra, Accenture and HDFC Bank and many more companies came for the placement. it is the third best college in Indore in terms of IT industry placement after SGSITS and IET.

The fees are Rs. 61300 per year. Being a government college, where the fees are low, it is comparatively higher here. But the college provides Scholarships to every student. I personally applied for the Medhavi Chatra Yojana Scholarship in which my whole fees will be refunded. So that's a really great facility. Our college also helps us getting internships and through my seniors, I come to know that they also provide campus placement but it is not up to the marks. I personally have never seen the placements happening so not know much about it.

Social life is great at the campus. Students really enjoy it here. The infrastructure is really good covered with plenty of greenery. Students love to hang out here. The classrooms are ventilated and well equipped, there is also an auditorium, seminar room, computer centres, two air conditioned lecture theatres. The library has a collection of over 25,000 books, project report, software and information including CD-ROM data basis and online database and electronic journal. You can issue these bools any time. Some of the other day's events are going on on the campus. You can definitely make your friends jealous because of the great number of quality events taking place in the campus.Various events like Xpressions, Synergy , Reboot, Tourista and Maya takes place all over the year which is filled with fun and frolic in almost all the fields of the professional world. Students can develop their extracurriculars really well here. Intra college sports events also take place which includes all major sports.
