I applied for this college because it is very good for mechanical engineering and good clubs for mechanical branch. The admission process is very simple, as I went to college on the admission day and I submitted all the required documents in xerox type and paid approximately 20000 for books and uniform.

Snist has good faculty, there are more junior lecturers than senior lecturers but they teach well and mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the classrooms. The faculty are highly qualified and experienced they teach the subject well but the lab faculty is not up to the mark in my view. The term exams are conducted as per jntuh guidelines and it is not that difficult to pass if we studied the subject well. I choose this course because I'm very much interested in machines and automobiles.

Good internship opportunities are available in the college so many students got internship in the IT companies like Infosys. They provide the certification for the internship program along with the training and stipend, the internship program includes projects and tests for good knowledge.

After 6th semester students are eligible for placements, the student should clear all the subject by the time of placement there should be no backlogs then the student is eligible for the campus interview. Mainly IT companies visit the college to give placements. Average package is 3 lakhs. 20 to 30 percentage of students get the placement.

The fees structure is not satisfactory . The fees structure for one academic year is 138500. You can get scholarship from the government on the basis of caste, sports quota. You will get scholarship upto 35000 if your father is not government employee.

SNIST is famous for fests, For every semester there will be one fest. The fests are very colourful and we can have a great night with friends. The fest is conducted for a full week including the tech fest and sports. Snist has two libraries, We can find books everything related to engineering. Every sport is available in the college but the ground will not satisfy the students, the college gives more importance to extra curricular activities. There are so many clubs and groups in the college. NSS is one social group run by students. SAE, ROBOTICS, DANCE and many more clubs are run by the students.

SNIST provides the hostel facility but the fees is very high its better to stay in private hostels which provides all facilities in the affordable rate. Private hostels also provide good facilities with daily hot water, good food and washing machines. We can find so many hostels near college within 1km radius they provide good food in affordable rate which is 5000 per month. We can find hostels in yamnampet near to the college a walkable distance and in ghatkesar which is near but we need a local transport to reach the college. So it's better to stay in yamnampet if you are a fresher.
