Gaurav Verma's Review On MNNIT Allahabad - Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology - [MNNIT], Allahabad

I cracked NIMCET entrance exam and got AIR 469 to get admission in MNNIT, Allahabad. I opted this college as it is one of the best National Institutes of Technology. This college ranks at 4th in the row. The another reason to opt this college was the distance from my hometown as I also belong to Uttar Pradesh.

The course which I opted was MCA and the course curriculum was as per today's changing technologies. The course structure also contained the labs and presentations which was very helpful to understand the technological terms in practical manner. Overall, the syllabus was up to the mark and whatever I learnt I can us that in my job as well.

As being a National Institute, I got opportunity to experience the interview process of lot many companies and finally got paced in Amdocs, Pune which is one of the leading MNC in Telecom Domain. Amdocs also offered me the Internship Program and provided the stipend of around 15,000/- per month. Apart from the stipend I also got chance to work with real live projects there and grew professionally as well as technically.

Regarding the placements, lot of big MNCs came to the college like Facebook, Google, Morgan Stanley, Samsung etc and offered jobs to the students. In MCA batch approx 90% students got placed in the reputed organisations. They also got good package and role to work there.

We had lot of technical and cultural events in my college like Roctave (Cultural Festival), Culruv (Cultural Festival), Avishkar (Technical Festival). All the festivals were organised by the students itself. It has a Student Activity Centre organisation which consist of the some students of the college and organise these kind of events.

The loan facility was there in my college as any student can avail the loan and pay the fees from that loan. I didn't availed the loan facility but paid the fees in cash every time.

In my batch the Gender Ratio was approx 1:3. Student parties were also conducted by the senior students like Fresher Party which helped in introduction with seniors. I had my batch mates from different states and different religions who speak different language and differences in several aspects but there was no discrimination by the students as well as by the faculties among them.

Senior students were very helpful as they always mentored regarding the important things in the college. They explained the examination procedures placement procedures and focused on the points which we need to take care in exams and placement sessions.

The exam structure was good as we had Class Tests in every 2 months, Mid semester exams and semester exams finally. Apart from this we also had the presentation sessions on the new technologies and research papers. There were labs planned for each and every subject which required a practical implementation to be taught for that subject.

The notification was released in month of December to fill the online form and send the submitted form & some documents by post to a particular institute who was conducting the examination. After the submission of the form I got the notification to download the Admit Card from the online portal (approx. 1-2 months later) which had all the details related to examination.

The faculty of the college was awesome as almost every professor had depth and practical knowledge what they teach. I like the way of teaching them as some the professors do the home work on the topics first, brush up them and then deliver to the students.
