Remarks

I had applied for very few colleges as getting into IBS Mumbai was my target. IBS conduct their own exam which is IBSAT and they also take scores of NMAT and CMAT. I opted for IBSAT and for me it was a 5 step admission process. In the first step, I filled the application form and was appointed a coordinator who guided me on how to fill the form and other queries. In the second step, I gave IBSAT in the month of December and the difficulty level of the exam was easy to medium. In the third step, within 10 days I received a call from IBS for the interview process. In the fourth step, the interview process was conducted in Hyderabad which included a GD/PI process, within 20 days I received a call for selection in IBS Gurgaon according to my score which got upgraded in some days and I was eligible for IBS Hyderabad as well, I chose to go for IBS Mumbai. In the 5th step, the onboarding happened in the first week of June. The process happened very smoothly.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course as it not only gives importance to curricular activities but it also gives importance to extracurricular activities and works on the overall personality development of the students. the batch size is huge and so are faculties. there are 39 permanent faculties and many visiting faculties. Most of the faculties are either PhD or have done MBA from reputated MBA colleges, they all have a teaching experience of more than years. faculties here believe in teaching via interacting with students through activities, homework, etc. There were special PACT sessions organised once a week for acing in the GD/PI process of the companies. Talking about the exams there is end term exams, midterm exams and regular class tests, class presentations whose marks were incorporated in evaluating the final marks. The exams were not easy and to crack the exam one has to study hard throughout the year.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The summer internship programme is a 3 months process in IBS Mumbai. There are around 100 companies who visit the college for placements and offer a good stipend as well. the companies start visiting the college after the 1st semester. companies like JPMorgan and chase, Lodha group, Pepsi, Jio studios, etc comes to hire the students. they also give stipends ranging from 5,000 to 37,000 per month.

Placement Experience

4.5

Companies start visiting the college in the 3rd semesters. the first company and flagship company which comes is JP Morgan and chase and they offer a package of 8.5 LPA. Apart from this many other companies visit the campus for example Morgan Stanley, Eisner amper, Deloitte, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, PWC, Lodha group, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ITC, HCL etc with a good package. IBS Mumbai has completed 95% placements with around 240 recruiters. The average salary here is 7LPA. The highest national package was 15.23 LPA and in international, the package was 50 LPA. The average salary of the top 10% is 12 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The programme fee is 8 lakh and they provide all the study material in the college including, stationery, etc. College also provides scholarships on a merit basis for example if you are getting a 9 cgpa or above then you will be getting a merit scholarship certificate and 10,000 rupees as scholarship. most of the students opt for educational loan. The college also provides internship facilities with more than 100 comapnies coming in to hire students with internships. Some of the prestegious companies which come for internship are JP Morgan and chase, Morgan stanely, aditya Birla, Lodha group, etc and they also offer a good amount of stipend.

Campus Life

5

Life at IBS Mumbai is very dynamic. There is a 2-day annual fest named Konflux conducted every year in the month of January, many colleges take part in this fest. apart from annual fests, there are many clubs in which one can take part, for example, marketing360, Kautilya, Dfusion(dance), Soundstreet, Kritiv, etc. All the festivals are celebrated with utmost joy in the college. The college has a huge library with a good number of books it also contains a reading room where students can sit and peacefully study. Every classroom has centralised AC, a smart class and comfortable furtinutres.

Interview Experience

4.5

The admission process consisted of a written test and a GD/PI process. The written tests had an average difficulty level. There were abstract topics in GD and in the final PI round the interviewers asked many questions related to past education, future plans and many current affair questions. I prepared everything by myself, read alot about current affairs, the economy and some general frequently asked interview questions.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
