HSC. Got 75% got direct admission from Junior college. Generally the procedure for outsiders was to fill form and wait for shortlists.
Course Curriculum Overview
We studied Maths, Accounts, Law, Commerce, Economics and my favorite was Math and Accounts. From what I remember the students who got good marks in the second year could choose computer science in the last year which was a scoring subject (I scored 99/100).
Internships Opportunities
We did not have any internship at our time but we did a few projects where we researched about a certain business. I remember working on a stationary company.
Placement Experience
When we left college, the call center boom started and almost everyone who did not go for further studies joined a call center with a good enough package for those days. But to get really good corporate jobs, additional masters degrees were essential. Again, not sure if this have changed in the last 14 years.
Admission
For junior college, SSC results are used. We fill forms and wait for the shortlist. For BCom, we get direct admission from junior college. I don't know if the system has changed now. Process was smooth but stressful. Maybe for students joining from outside the junior college the system will be different.
Faculty
The faculty standard differed substantially - some were good, some were bad. None was extra ordinary and few were extremely awful. Sorry to admit, but for many classes we just attended to enjoy and not to learn. Some teachers were good and had a lasting impact (Commerce, Economics).
