My Journey at BITS

BITS Pilani is one of the top private universities in the Pilani and ranking wise, it ranked 10th by outlook India in 2020, 27th position by NIRF and has got affiliation by UGC, AICTE, ACU, AIU, and PIC and accredited by NAAC with Grade 'A'. Moreover, the program fee is affordable as compared to other private universities in the area. Also, my Institute holds 100% placement record to top-notch companies across the country. So, these were the reasons due to which I without any doubt took admission here. Furthermore, for admission to BITS Pilani, I filled the application form in the month of May and entered all the required details in the formOn the basis of CAT score, I got shortlisted for selection procedure rounds. Then I turned up for GD and PI rounds and my performance was good. However, not only my performance in selection procedure round but also, the CAT score and past academic record was considered for final selection. Lastly, I received offer letter for admission and paid my program fee and continued pursuing MBA here.

The course curriculum of MBA program at my college i.e. BITS Pilani is tied up in the basics of general management with the updated theories and best implementation of it in the business world. It is designed such that we learn quantitative, qualitative, analytics, strategic, and problem solving skills. Moreover, the pedagogy uses the modern technology to impart knowledge. In the first three semesters, the course work are completed and then we are required to undertake the PS program in the last semester of the MBA program. Through PS program, we get an opportunity to implement the classroom knowledge and skills in real problems of the corporate world. Also, if we are not interested in taking up the practice school program, we can go for six months thesis where we are assigned a faculty for thesis supervision. Further, our faculties are very supportive, experience and higher degree holders.Through training session, they focus on enhancement of our leadership skills, decision making ability, groom us for corporate life, and prepare us so that we can meet and face the upcoming challenges in the business industry. Now, the subjects that are taught in our program includes digital analytics, financial analytics, strategy analytics, Marketing management, managerial economics, and other core and elective subjects. In addition to this, industry visit is the most important part of the curriculum.

The most important questions that arises for everyone is that how our college maintain 100% placement record. And the answer for this is quite simple as our college provide world class faculty and curriculum as well, we get industry experience, and our personalities are balanced by the experts and faculty members. Further, the top recruiters that visit our college for on-campus placement include Axis Bank, Amazon, EY, HCL, IBM, Genpact and many others and offer highest package of 15 LPA whereas average package offered was 9 LPA. The placement process in our college is made as simple as possible for both us and the recruiters. So, the employers are contacted prior to two month of the commencement of placement drive, a job announcement form is floated to interested employers and post filling the form, the requirements are checked thoroughly and mutually a date and time is fixed. Also the job profile is provided by the recruiters and then on the day of placement, Group Discussion and Interview round takes place. Besides, before the placement session occurs, pre-placement talks is conducted where we are prepared for group discussion, interview, and aptitude test.

The program fee for MBA program in my college is 9 lakhs for two yearsIn this amount, only the admission fee, student's aid fund, student's union fee are included and not the hostel or mess expenses. However, our college also offers scholarships and concessions based on different criteria. So a few of them are board topper - for those who have secured 1st three position in 12th standard get the merit scholarship and concessions of 50%, 75% and 100% in the first semester in tuition fee. Also, one can apply for education loan as our college shares partnership with State Bank of India. The maximum limit is 20 lacs and for this, there will be no security required, no processing fee, 100% financing and quick sanction at selected campus branch

My college is well known for both its academics and events that are conducted every year. So, of all, Oasis is one of the largest cultural festivals of India which is held by our college. Moreover, BOSM is the largest sports fest of our country and that too conducted in our college where students from all over India participate to showcase their talents through healthy competition. Apart from this, BITSMUN, APOGEE are the events that take place every year in our campus. Also, the student's union in our college operated various clubs like music club, dance club, English and Hindi Drama club, poetry club, photography club and other clubs and societies as well. So, these are the events that keep on going constantly and that make the whole environment so vibrant and my life here has been so happening and full of thrills.
