Remarks

The reason for choosing ABS, Bangalore was the fact that It is among the most prestigious B-schools in all of Karnataka. ABS is the 2nd best B-school in South India with accredition from USA based International Accreditation Council for Business Education.ABS, Bangalore was 42nd in NIRF MBA rankings of 2020 .It is affiliated to Alliance University and also has AICTE approval. For MBA admissions to ABS, Bangalore the academic records, entrance score and Essay writing/PI/GD rounds performance is checked by the institute.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Alliance University is among the most famous Universities in Karnataka and as ABS is the top B-school under it the course curriculum and faculty here is also of the best quality. The 2 year MBA program consists of totally 6 terms and the exams are conducted on trimester basis by the institute. While many of the faculty team members are former workers in different government sectors, industrial firms and educational departments and also possess a vast amount of experience to share among their students.

Internships Opportunities

4

I was not there during the internship round of our MBA program 2020 batch. Although I was interested in working with industries but due to some personal reasons I was not able to participate in the round. But my friends who worked in the internships told me about their experiences and they were more than satisfied with them.

Placement Experience

4

Being the premium B-school under Alliance University the placements at ABS are always great as wide range of recruiters from different domains visit the institute. For 2020 campus drive near about 350 firms were present with around 40% of them being new recruiters. The highest salary for MBA was INR 18 LPA and the top recruiters included names like Axis Bank and Aditya Birla Group.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of the institute is a little lesser than that of IIM Rohtak. I paid INR 13.5 lacs for the total 2 year duration of my MBA program at ABS, Bangalore. This fee includes the tuition fee while hostel fee is not added in it. The students who are not eligible to afford the fee can get study loan from banks with help of the institute. The meritorious students are also provided appreciation with different kind of academic performance based scholarships .

Campus Life

4

Campus life is among the things which matter the most for me as I feel that the influence the overall performance and growth of the students in a huge amount. Talking about ABS, the campus has several event's like Annual and Cultural fest which were a great experience to be part of. The library of our college has books and magazines for different domains to enhance the academic performance of the students. Cultural committee and Sports committee along with different kind of clubs are also available there for overall growth of students at ABS.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel experience at ABS are decent but they could have been better then the available one's. The hostel expenses were comparable to similar kind institutions and had almost the same kind of facilities. Rooms on both single and sharing basis were there and the hostels were separate for both girls and boys. Our hostel also had several sports facilities for the students. The mess facilities were quite satisfying as they doesn't make me feel like an away from home. The food was very homely with the taste and quality of food being good.

Admission

The Entrance score and Interview performance are the most important factors for admissions to the Institute. The Institute accepts CAT/NMAT/XAT/MAT exam scores along with academic records to shortlist the applicants for PI/GD/Essay writing rounds. The reason to organise such rounds is to check the kind of performance candidate performs in such conditions. Their all-round performance is checked for admissions to the MBA program at ABS.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time.
