My Life at University of Jammu

Firstly, University of Jammu is accredited with 'A+' by NAAC and under university category, the NIRF ranking was 52. Further, since I am doing MBA from the Business School, University of Jammu, the placement rate is 90% and placement partners are the leading companies across India. Besides, the college fee is too low and in that amount, I have got so many college facilities which is undoubtedly amazing. So, these were the reasons due to which I took admission into this college. Further, for the admission, I visit the official website of University of Jammu then I applied for the business school which comes under it. In the application form, I filled the details asked therein and on the basis of my CAT score, weightage of past academic record, I was shortlisted for GD and PI rounds. Lastly, the merit list was announced considering my performance in the selection procedure rounds and other factor like CAT score, and previous record of academic.

The course curriculum of MBA program is prepared well so that we can get the basis knowledge of management in the 1st and 2nd semester and that in the 3rd and 4th semester, advanced managerial techniques are endowed by the experienced and highly qualified faculties of our departmentThe syllabus of the MBA program includes accounting for managers, management perspective, quantitative techniques, management science, business research methods, business environment, Viva Voce, summer training based project work and others.

The placement recruiters tha visit our campus to recruit from our department are HDFC Bank, Indo Asian, Axis Bank, ITC limited, OYO, warerhealth, HCL, Yes Bank and many others. Further, the average CTC offered was 4 LPA whereas the highest package achieved was 12 LPA. Moreover, around 90% placement is done on-campus and rest who don't get placed on campus are send for off-campus placement. However, prior to the placement session, our faculty members start giving training in order to enhance the personality, mental ability, decision making capacity, soft skills and most importantly the managerial skills. Also, they make us aware of the ongoing requirements of the industry or the corporate house and then prepare accordingly. Furthermore, the placement process includes filling of the form after reading the job description provided by the recruiters, then appearing in the GD and PI rounds and lastly selection in done. Also, the corporates give the feedback in the end. Most importantly, after completing my masters, I won't continue with further studies and will get a job instead.

The fee structure for MBA program in my college is 78 thousands in total i.e. for two years. The fee structure incudes student insurance fee, admission fee, examination fee, sports fee, library, games, I'd card fee, alumni funds and others. However, hostel and food charges are not included in the this fee structure. Further, yes, our college has several scholarship schemes like linear viyogi merit scholarship, for physically handicapped students, OC & MIL scholarship and other scholarship as well. Further, I was not eligible to benefit the scholarship scheme provided in our college.

Our campus has ICT enabled classrooms, convention hall, computer halls, library with more than 18k books and subscription to 30 plus national and international magazines, journals, online database, newsletters, video conferencing room with connectivity. So, these are the facilities we are getting in campus. Apart from that, for extra curricular activities, several clubs were formed earlier like debating society, sports society, art & design society, culture society, dramatic society and many others as well. Whenever, an event takes place, students from each society perform to showcase their talents. So, here I am going to mention the events that are conducted throughout the year and those are Freshers Day, sports day celebration, ragoli Competition, farewell function, educational tour, important days celebration, several workshops, seminars and others. Because all of this, my campus life has been happening and good going since the very first day.
