Remarks
I was a jee aspirant but I was not able to clear even the mains examination. Then I filled form of JCECE and got a CML rank of 479. I finally got admission from the general quota.The counselling was held at JCECEB, Namkom, Ranchi. We have paid the counseling fee through challan. On the day of counseling, college and branch were allotted on basis of common merit list rank. After the seat was locked we paid the seat locking fee through the swipe machine kept inside the room. Then according to the notice issued from college, we went to my college, BIT Sindri for the final admission process and paid the college fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen the electrical branch for pursuing my UG (B.tech) because of my personal interest and this is an evergreen branch in terms of progress and employment. In my Electrical department and overall college, faculties count is good and they manage to teach as well other works very efficiently. Most of the Teachers are PhD holders and are from top-rated technical Colleges like IIT, NIT... In my college, in theoretical papers, two mid-semester and one final end semester are taken for evaluation and grading. Passing in this very easy as best score among the two mid sem is selected. For practical papers , external viva is taken. The overall assessment is fair and not to difficult to pass even if you give small efforts.
Internships Opportunities
Every year college students participate in competitions like women of mettle , mind over matter , etc from where they get selected for an internship in TATA Steel. They participate in google summer code. They apply for various management and content writing job through Internshala.
Placement Experience
Students start getting PPO offers from the 5th semester. Total companies visiting BIT Sindri are more than 50. Some of them are Hindustan Unilever, Infosys, TCS Ninja, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, TCS Digital, Tata Power, Jindal Steel , Accenture, FIITJEE , Byju's Learning, ACC Cement Reliance Digital, etc, Highest package offered is around 12LPA by Tata steel. The average package offered is around 6LPA. Every year around 350+ students get placed in big and small companies through campus placement. After getting a degree I will join some companies through college placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of BIT Sindri is very cheap. The annual expense is around 60,000 for general category students which include tuition fee, hostel fee, mess fee, examination fee. For SC/ST category and girls category tuition fee is almost negligible, around Rs.32. Moreover, excluding general category students if you have caste certificate you will get a scholarship under e-kalyan scheme of government. Our college also provided internship where you will be offered a stipend.
Campus Life
In BIT Sindri there are numerous clubs and organizations. Some of them are technical clube while others are a cultural club. Every year they organize technical and cultural fest in months around January and September respectively. In our college, there is a central library consisting of more than 100000 books. If you are interested in reading novels and literature books , gandhi rachnatmak samiti is a college club having its own library. The classroom capacity is around 65 students. There is a Lecturer Hall and webinar halls like C-51 with a seating capacity of 300+ students. There is a sports club and 3 grounds having a basketball court, football, and cricket pitch for practice. A volleyball court is also there in every hostel and common room in hostels where there is carrom board and television. There is numerous social group for students run by students. Some of them are ARTS Clubs, Gandhi Rachnatmak Samiti, Literary Society, Photography club, Painting wing, Literary Society, Sarjana , NSS, etc....
Hostel Facilities
There are around 28 hostels for students of this college. In every hostel, there is a mess, and the quality of food is normal. If you are a non-vegetarian, then you will enjoy a 5-day non-veg meal. There is a common room, in which a carrom board is there along with television where you can watch cricket matches in group and celebrate birthday parties. There is a volleyball court in the hostel. Hostel fee is 5000 for maintenance and 2000 for electricity, so overall it is affordable and cheaper than pg. Wi-fi connection wiring has been laid out in hostel.
