Nirma University is one of the most well known institutes in our region and that's why I decided to pursue my MBA here. Nirma was placed 44th for MBA and 151st overall by NIRF in 2020 rankings. The university has Grade''A'' accreditation by NAAC along with the approvals of UGC,AIU & NBA. For admissions to the MBA program the academic records , CAT score and PI/GD round performance are noted.
Course Curriculum Overview
Nirma university is the first ever University of Gujarat. And the faculty team here is also of the best of quality. Most of the members hold doctorate degrees in their respective fields. They also have a good amount of experience in different research fields, Government sectors and MNC'S. The teaching methods of the faculty here offers both practical and theoretical knowledge in the best possible ways.
Internships Opportunities
The Internships can be great platform for any student to gain skills and showcase their abilities. The reason for the same is the kind of environment in which he/she gets to works. I got a 6 week internship in the round and it was a great experience.
Placement Experience
Nirma University recorded around 95% placements during the 2020 campus placements. Marketing with the most number of offers emerged as the top recruitering domain. Reliance, HDFC and Infosys are the most famous names of the drive. The highest package bagged by my program was INR 16 LPA with the average package being at INR 8 LPA.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Nirma University has a fee structure which lesser tha most of the B-schools in the state. The total MBA fee at Nirma is INR 10.04 lacs in which the tuition fee expenses of INR 9.52 lacs are also included. To reduce the financial pressure of needy students the Institute helps such students in availing study loan benefit from leading banks.
Campus Life
Their was arrangement of Sports fest , Annual fest, Cultural fest and debate competitions for the all-round growth of students after regular time periods. Around 30,000+ books & 10,960+ journals are there in the college library. The Debate Club, The Social Club, Mess committee, Expressions Club and Marketing Club along with Swayam, Optimus, cultural committee, Students association, and academic committee are also there for the students.
Hostel Facilities
The Hostels are equipped with all the students requirements. Both single and sharing type rooms with or without Ac were available there for both genders. Students can also avail Laundry services but some additional charges has to be paid for the service. The food served by the mess was pretty good because the kind of varieties the menu had was pretty appreciable.
Admission
To shortlist applied candidates the Institute checks the CAT score and academic records of applied candidates. Those candidates are then called to appear for personal interview round and the overall performance in these rounds finalise the selection for admissions.
