Wanna join Kasthurbha???... First know about it!!!

Firstly I got registered on the "DOST" Website.. Then in the first counseling.. I got "vanita mahavidhyalaya ".. It's was so far(koti).... So against I opted for second counseling. Then I got admission to " kasthurbha Gandhi degree college".. After the allotment.. We shud submit the allotment order at the college and confirm that we are taking the admission.. I exactly don't know about the minimum cut-off percentage for the college.. But I got 81% and I heard from my classmates that students with 70% are also given admissions.. Age is not at all considered for admission.. The fees can be paid in installments.. At first, we need to pay only 5000 on the day of admission.. The fees is also quite reasonable for the facilities and faculty provided by the college..

I choose bsc(mecs).. That means it includes electronics, maths and computer science.. Computer science is very important in the present generation as software companies are always in search of new employees for their company.. And it's an evergreen subject.. Electronics is such a subject that we can find a scope in any field.. Like we also have government jobs based on electronics.. The faculty are well trained.. Most of the faculty are authors and have published many books on their respective subjects.. Our lecturers try new methods of teaching like organizing seminars for students and also innovative projects are given to the students for their encouragement.. Term exams were not difficult.. Because the faculty always brushed up about the important topics and made an analysis of the question paper and they also conducted tests just for revision.. The student-faculty ratio was 50:1..it would behave even better if the college could increase the number of lecturers..

Wipro company ( under wilp program), pantech learning, Sutherland company, Physitech company Cyient company, Autoengineering services company.. The stipend is nearly 5000-6000. The companies are basically checking upon the knowledge and communication skills of the students, rather than judging them by their grades. It's a good opportunity for us.. As we gain experience.. Rejection by a company also teaches us many things..

Many companies have already started taking interviews. 60% of the students from our college get placed in companies.. We also have an employability skill program provided by the college, which prepares us how to prepare for the interview.. The only disadvantage is the companies offer annual packages only till 3-4 lakhs.. I have planned to take up MBA after my degree..

The fee structure is quite affordable and based on caste and income.. Scholarships are also provided.. For example.. For my course.. I had to pay 22,535 .. 11,000 is given as a scholarship for the students... For students who are financially not so good, we have a placement cell in our college, where students can get a part-time job from the companies.. Our placement in charge mam takes care of the procedures so that the student can get a good part-time job without affecting the studies.. We are also offered internships.. Students got selected in a company called "pantech learning".. The stipend is 6000 per month.. and the internship is for 3 months..

Every year for the freshers, an official freshers party is conducted by the college. Every festival is celebrated in the college premises. For annual fests chief guests are invited and the students get valuable lessons from them. The library is such a good place.. We get many books regarding our subjects and also many novels, fiction books, magazines, newspapers, and much more.. The library is very spacious,we do not need to buy any books regarding subjects from outside.. All the books are available in the library. We also have model papers which are very helpful for our exams.. We are also issued a library card which is useful for taking and returning books.. The classrooms are very spacious and well equipped. The best thing which I loved in college is the sports. We are not asked any extra fees for the sports, whoever is interested can join any sport. The coaches are well trained,and we are taken to many competitions. NSS and Ncc are also provided, I am also a part of nss.
