Internship

I had applied for symbiosis, SIES, and other colleges via CET. Results weren't out before I got admitted to Welingkar. I didn't avail any special quota, the criteria for admission was 60% overall. The admission process consists of GD and PI. CV-based questions were asked in PI.

This course is all about innovative approaches to problem-solving and customer orientation. I chose this stream because I like to be a part of the strategy team and I have an innovative mindset. The faculties teaching us were all senior personal and had at least 25-30 years of work experience. Many of them were having a doctorate in a specific field. For every subject, we were given interesting projects which involved real problems to which we had to find innovative, realistic, and feasible solutions. Exams were conducted every three months and with such wonderful guidance of staff, we never found it difficult to pass.

Companies that I had mentioned in the previous page come for an internship as well. Job roles offered are management trainee, Jr consultant, Jr. Market analyst, Market research, etc. Internship being virtual, most of us didn't get any stipend.

Students are eligible for campus placement after then3rd trimester. Various banks, consultancy firms, and other companies come for campus drive. ICICI, SBI, HDFC, AXIS, Deloitte, GEP, EY to name a few.

The total fee of the course was 11 lac INR which was to be initially paid in 4 equal installments, but due to the pandemic, we were given relaxation on the number of installments. We paid our fees in 8 installments. After my 1st year of post-graduation, I got placed in Zee for an internship. Since the internship was virtual, we didn't get any stipend. (Covid times)

I am not aware of any such clubs. People form WhatsApp group out of their interest in a particular field like marketing, operations, finance etc. Various international and national level competitions are organized by the college and we receive many entries from IIM and top-notch colleges. There are outbound activities where we learn team building and the importance of teamwork which is led by our group director. Classrooms are air-conditioned with a smart aTV facility. There is a sports competition named IMPACT where colleges across India is invited.

The admission process is 1) Register on the college website. 2) Enter education details. 3) GD & PI rounds. 4) Wait for the shortlist. 5) Receive email/ call if you get shortlisted. 6) Admission confirmation and fee payment. Criteria were 60% overall and no year drop. I didn't prepare for those rounds. I just went and faced it.
