PSIT College Review

I am a final year student of Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology, Kanpur. The eligibility criteria to get admission is that the candidate must qualify in 10+2 with aggregate marks of 60%. The selection is based on JEE/ UPSEE score.

ECE is one of the prominent fields of engineering studies. ECE engineers can drift between hardware and software fields. Students can pursue in communications, networking, transmission system fields. A large number of IT companies and core companies are major recruiters. The Faculty members are highly qualified and also helped their students to achieve the highest standards in the course. The teaching method is effective, explanation of theory along with some related videos to describe the topic more clearly also proper practical labs are conducted. Timely exam (consists of assignments, class tests, pre-university exams) are taken to access what the student has learned with regard to particular subjects.

Internship opportunities are also there. Students having the required skills get the chance to do internships with renowned companies. The stipend varies from company to company and the project with which the student is related.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester onwards. Proper training classes(from 1st sem ) are arranged to help students prepare for both placements and competitive exams. Various companies visited campus and provide an average salary of 3.6LPA(minimum) and 7-8LPA or more for the students having the required skills.

The fees of ECE course are approximately Rs 1,20,500 per year. The students can also avail of scholarships. PSIT is well known for its campus placements every year. The placement opportunity is available to every student having the required skills and qualifications. The average package is around 3.6 LPA.

The college not only helps the students to gain technical competence but also master them in other skills i.e teamwork, leadership, management, etc. It provides the students with various platforms(student club) to show their talents and to learn the importance of teamwork, time management, critical thinking, etc. The clubs are related to sports, photography, digital marketing, dance, science and innovations, entrepreneurship, etc. The college also organises an annual fest in the month of february named as IGNITIA to refresh students form their schedule of study. The classrooms are spacious, air conditioned, good projector setups for proper teaching and learning purpose. Library is well stocked, almost all the books are avaliable that are required by the students. Students can easily get the text books or the reference books suggested by the faculty members.

The college admission process is straightforward. The eligibility criteria is that the student must have an aggregate of 60% in 10+2 and also based on the marks of JEE/ UPSEE. The college also conducts a written test consists of simple aptitute and english questions during admission. Also a interview is taken and questions are simply ( consists of tell me about yourself, why this stream, any skills etc). Not much preparations are required to clear these rounds, its just that one must have good command in basic mathematics and english. Also the interview questions are just to know you better as a student.
