Remarks

Management is very strict that leaves a negative impact on student's mind. I myself faced this problem. Coming late to the college is not at all entertained even if it is a girl student. In this case, they make the student stand at the gate wasting their time and also student's time which results in nothing. This is a very big problem for students commuting long distances. I had gone through this several times. Otherwise the college is good to go with. It will definitely make one's career it has got that kind of potential.

Entrance Preview

I had taken EAMCET in 2011. I am very much interested in Physics during my Intermediate hence I opted for Mechanical Engineering. For Mechanical this college has very good lab infrastructure that's the sole reason to go with CMRCET.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The Course curriculum is good if not great. CMRCET used to follow JNTUH syllabus as it was affiliated to JNTUH when I studied there. But now it is an autonomous institution. the management ensures that the Faculty finishes the syllabus before the exams. They also ensure that the Faculty is available to clear students' doubts even during the preparation holidays. When it comes to the Research part, the interested students can approach HOD and the senior faculty, they provide all the information and data required for research.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college provides the internship facility for the students but there is no stipend given. The responsibility is on the student to find the industry to do the internship. The liberty for the student to work on his/her own idea is less only selected students get the chance.

Placement Experience

5

This is the best thing about these CMR colleges. The Management seriously tries very hard to get as many placements as possible. One edge for the student is all the placements are common for all the CMR colleges, no partiality to any college based on when it is founded and how good the students of a particular CMR college are. Core company placements also happen in these colleges. The packages are also very good for the good companies. One drawback is they try to get BPOs also which is not a negative thing but they overdo it sometimes. I am placed in a good company in Bangalore and I got it through the placement right after completing the course(completely based on my communication skills, not a core job. It is a Management related job and that was what I wanted).

College Events

3

Every year the College Management conducts one technical fest for every department. Besides this literary fest for the English language is also conducted. CMR gives importance to sports too. There is one such fest called Azura, where all the other college students from different parts of the state come and participate. The certificates gained in these fest competitions add weight to the student's resume.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The Government had increased the fee structure and this college is worth paying your money if you go through counseling(EAMCET). Now the fees for a student entered through EAMCET is around 60,000. The Management quota is a bit expensive. You have to negotiate if you go through management quota. The fee for management quota depends on various factors like the course, the recommendation, student's intermediate percentage. The fee would be 5-6 lacs per annum on an average for management quota and it can also go up to 7 lacs.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no such loan facilities provided by the Management but they recognize the toppers and provide a good optimal amount of scholarship at the end of the year(this is only for top three students of the year per branch). The student has to excel in both the semesters to get this.

Campus Life

4.5

The Gender ratio is almost balanced with understandable exceptions to core branches like Civil and Mechanical. There is no discrimination based on caste or religion but there would be politics going on based on these factors as the Management belongs to one particular Caste. This wouldn't affect the student much. All the sports are encouraged. Sports competitions would be held every year between the departments. The student has to show his skill as early as possible to make it into the team.

Hostel Facilities

4

I have stayed in the college hostel in the first year. Although the amenities they provide are good it is expensive. To go in detail about the infrastructure and hostel management, the rooms are clean, the food is ok if the person is ready to adjust, WiFi is available but too slow most of the times and the hostelers have a free transport facility to and from the college.

Alumni/Alumna

Interaction with seniors rarely happens, to be frank college should work in this aspect. Once a student gets in touch with the right seniors (who are good in their academics and extracurricular activities). The spoilt brats always try to pull juniors into some or the other fight so the student has to be careful. There is no ragging at all. There are secret squads among the Faculty to curb ragging.

Exam Structure

The small exams are called mid-term exams and there would be three mid-term exams through out the year. The average of these three exams would be taken as 25% and it is added to the 75% of marks of the final exam(year end). This structure is the same in every college. They conduct open book tests and small tests for each chapter, even though these tests' marks are not considered anywhere.

Admission

I have entered through second counseling of EAMCET-2011. The Administration was very strict and they intimate the parents all the rules right during the admission process. I secured a rank of 43000, had a BC reservation and I have very good percentage in Inter board exam else I couldn't have made it to the first and best campus.

Faculty

3

The Faculty is average but not that great having said that it is the same case with any Engineering college no matter how good the college is. Senior Faculty is very good but they are a few in number. Junior faculty is not up to the mark but it is okay. There is a library which is very helpful especially during the exams. It has most of the books the student needs but the student has to be quick in acquiring the good books. The availability and the number of good books is very limited.
