Remarks
The minimum criteria for enrolling on a post-graduation course in Jamia Millia Islamia is to be graduate with a 50% aggregate score. The admission process at Jamia Millia Islamia consists of a written test. Students who clear the cutoff are then evaluated on the basis of Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The admission process was not at all cumbersome. It was easy. Documents that are required are Marksheets of class 10, 12 and Graduation. Other documents that are required are affidavits for anti-ragging which can be easily made on the campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
The class strength of MBA IB consists of 65-70 students. We have 8 papers in each semester. The faculties are very well qualified and approachable. Our academic calendar is not on time as we began late with the course due to a pandemic.
Internships Opportunities
Outlook Ltd., My Captain, Big Basket, Urban Tribes, Tenhard, Susclence etc provide internship opportunities in different domains like HR, Sales and Marketing, Operations. The stipend of these internship programs ranges between 5000-8000 INR.
Placement Experience
The placement of MBA in Jamia Millia Islamia is decent with an average of 6-7 LPA. All relevant information is available on the placement report on Jamia's Official site. After getting the degree, I plan to get a corporate job.
Fees and Financial Aid
Being a Central University the fees of Jamia Millia Islamia is very affordable. The scholarship is provided by the Department of Student Welfare. Apart from that, every year top rankers, upto rank 4 are awarded a scholarship.
Campus Life
The current mode of classes is virtual due to the ongoing pandemic so we do not have any campus life as such. The club activities consisting of webinars and quiz have just begun this semester. Things are expected to get better once we have a proper classroom mode.
Interview Experience
The written test was tough. The questions were not very easy within a month a list of shortlisted candidates was out who were then further evaluated on the basis of GD and PI. There was the choice to attend GD/PI online or in person. GD topics were related to Business, Technology and Current affairs. The Personal Interview questions consisted of a basic introduction, some questions regarding graduation course and field of interests.
