MY REVIEW

In the admission process, I selected many colleges of which I wanted to be a part of and SVIT was one of them. Due to the average grades, I didn't get admission to the desired college. Luckily, I got admission to SVIT college through the management quota and I am glad about it. The admission process was uncomplicated and was very smooth. Students who meet the cut-off rank of SVIT college could get admission. Since I got admission through the Management quota, I am more familiar with this process. Form for the management quota was available on the college's official site which was to be filled. So, during the counselling day, we were supposed to carry some documents with us and were asked to pay 1st semester fees. Same fees for both management quota and general quota though. Also, the NRI quota was provided by the college.

I have chosen this course because I wanted to opt for it for a better future. Although I developed an interest in this particular field during my 10th standard and was very enthusiastic to learn about it. Talking about the faculties of our college, I must say that SVIT has got really good faculty as they are highly qualified and always want their students to be "doubtless" in their respective teaching subjects by solving each and everyone doubts possible. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:40 approx. Moving towards how timely the term exams were and how difficult was to pass it , they were on time as mid semester exams and GTU exams are conducted in 3 months and 6 months respectively. If one has sincerely studied during the lectures and also self-studied enough then it might not appear to be that difficult.

Students of the 8th semester are eligible for placements. There are many companies that visit every year to hire students who meet up their expectations (L&T, Linde, TCS, etc). The highest package offered is around 7 LPA and the average is about 3-4 LPA. Close to 60% of students get placed every year. After getting my B.E. Degree, my further plan is to do an MBA from a well-known college.

The fees of our college are relatively cheaper when compared to most of the other colleges. There are various external scholarships that could be availed by students. Talking about the placements, various companies visit our college to hire the best talents of our college.

We merely went to college for 15-20 days due to the pandemic in march so can't really tell, but for me, it was good though. About tech fests, PRAKASH is organized in our college in the month of Feb which is a national level fest. So students from various universities and colleges can take part in it. Students interested in sports could take part in it and can compete in sports week. Talking about the classrooms, they are more like typical government school classroom but no issues with them because in the end the way of teaching matters in which the teachers excel.
