Entrance Preview

I gave the LLB entrance exam conducted by the Delhi University. I chose the course because i always wanted to learn about different laws and their technicalities. The entrance exam is of 750 marks conducted every year. I scored 407 marks and got admission in 1st cutoff list.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is of 3 years divided into 6 semesters. Each semester one student has to study 5 subjects. In first year all subjects are compulsory to study whereas in second and third year student has a choice to choose one subject of his own choice.

Internships Opportunities

Yes our college provides internships also. Generally one can seek internship directly in a district court, high court or under any big lawyer or even under any justice of high court or district court. The stipend is not very high but can be helpful in managing daily needs of a student. The experience gained is very helpful in future as well as in studies.

Placement Experience

5

From our college, students are posted directly in district court, high court and supreme court. Every year many companies also come and students also have a choice to go in corporate sector and deal in corporate legal matters. Students also have a choice to persue as a private advocate in any court.

4

There are many events celebrated in our college. It starts with orientation and followed by ALFRESCO, our freshers party. Then there are many legal aid camps also set up by our college in different parts of Delhi to help local and poor people by providing free legal help to them. There is also a moot court held in our college and it is the most celebrated event of our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure our of our college is cheapest in the whole country with respect to LLB. Fees is only 5200 rupees per year which is much less than lakhs paid by students in private colleges. Moreover this fees contains examination fees and course material fees also.

Exam Structure

Exams are held semester wise with six semesters in three years. Basically they are held in december and may every year. Student get enough time to prepare for exams as prior to that four months ago months classes are conducted and course is not that vast to leave a student exhausted required.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very much practical knowledge based and helps the students to grow there legal reasoning which helps them to prosper in the profession. Also it helps them to read and correlate the real time judgements being passed, this curriculum prepares the students to understand the reasoning behind the judgements. Though the curriculum is practical knowledge based it still requires many improvements as these case are old and some of them are even overruled, also the we have to write very long answers which needs to be changed as new methods like ooen text book exams can be adopted to improving.

My plan was to go to Oxford University for further studies.
