Remarks

I applied to many colleges like bangabasi, surendranath,etc but i didn't attend due to because umeschandra college was near to my house. To get admission in umeschandra college the minimum criteria is to get 60 above in boards but they provide their merit list according to the cut-off percentage.

I opted for this course because I was intrested in finance.The faculty of the college is very experienced and they clear our doubts and give their 100%.The student capacity of the college is 400 for every batch and there are more than 1500 students each semester.The teaching faculty is highly qualified.There are 6 semesters in the three year course.The interval between each course is 6 months.

Class Size: 400Course Fees: INR 3770 per year

Placement Experience

From the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements, and big names like tcs,wipro,pwc etc come to offer placements to the students and the package depends up the students educational qualifications and skillsets.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college comes under a government so the fees structure is easily affordable and it comes around 5k per year and compared to private colleges it's more than cheap. The salary depends on the skill sets and qualifications of the student.

Campus Life

The annual fest takes place around the month of June-July.The college has a humongous library with proper amenities for the students. There is a treat for sports lovers as Umeschandra college give a high priority to sports and it has clubs rooms with all kind of amenities related to sports and other than being known for its education, it is also known for the competitive sports played by the college students during the competition

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
