Applied for Government Colleges and GCET and JSS Then got selected in GCET. In GCET applied for CS & IT, Due to limited seats got IT. The counseling process was online, and I need to select some colleges from the list and from their need to select with priority, So everything was done online.
Course Curriculum Overview
Interested in Computer Science, So opted for CS/IT. Faculty: The student ratio is 1:70 for a class. Some teachers are great there who support and work on students but some are average too. In a year there were 2 Sem exams, 6- Internal exams. And If you work hard everything is easy and time also teaches us how to manage.
Placement Experience
Placements are good in GCET, Although they vary from time to time. For placements, students are eligible from the 7th Sem. Companies like Direct-I, Samsung, Amazon, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, TCS, etc. all visited the campus. The highest package I now am 21LPA buy it can be more. And except recession 60-70%, people are placed. Rest it all depends on students as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
First-year Fees was around 115000 then every year it was increased around 10000. The scholarship was available and you can apply for that and the amount vary on the basis of Reservation quota - Which can include General - 55000, OBC-65000 SC-around 1 Lakh.
Campus Life
Annual Fest occurs every year but can depend on the situation. - Name - G Unifest which happens around Jan-Mar Books were also available in Library but one issue the book for 15-days only then you need to reissue it if you want for more days. Some Classrooms had AC some not Like CS classrooms had AC but IT ones didn't. Listings were proper, Table and Chairs were also fine, but a repair can take more than a year. Many different clubs were available to indulge in and work in those, like Art club, Dance club Tech club, Coding Club, even interdepartmental clubs too. Overall campus life was great, enjoyed all those moments.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility was provided to boys and girls both separately and there is an option to choose from double sharing, triple sharing, and sharing it with 4 people. And price varied from 70000-82000. The facility in Hostel for the single person was a Single bed, a table, and a chair with an almirah, The mess was also included in the Hostel facility but the food is not good. The hostel has table tennis, a badminton court, Gym, TV room. For registration in Hostel, you need to ask during admission or any time after that from the college administration.
