Review for-ICFAI Business School

There was a Group discussion and Personal interview round. GD's topic was quite out of the box but overall the process is very interesting. On the selection day, there were a lot of batches for GD. The process started around 10 by morning and went on till 4 in the evening.

The course curriculum is very good and the faculty is excellent. Various faculty members including visiting faculty members are so good. That is the best thing about IBS Mumbai. Top faculties who also teach in institutes like Jamnalal bajaj sies Narsee monjee come to IBS as visiting faculties.

I took the internship on my own. I didn't even consider getting an internship from college. Try to get it on your own. You need to get a project from your employer in the internship as it contains marks. One mentor will be there from your college I.e one professor and your mentor from the company. They will mark you based on your performance.

From the 2nd year onwards students become eligible for placements. Luck factor also matters along with the education and other backgrounds as 1200+ students sit for placements. Almost 70% of students get placement offers but are prepared for an average package. Don't keep high hopes. The average package for making is 5.5Lakhs. For finance, it is around 7.5-8Lakhs. HR is around 4-5 lakhs.

My batch size was around 1200+ it was indeed challenging and difficult to get an internship from college. To be honest, I would suggest trying to get an internship on your own through your own contacts. That is the best possible way to safeguard your interest too. The course fees are a little on a higher side as compared to other private institute PGDM courses.

Konflux is the annual college fest over 2 days. It's a fun time to relax and enjoy the activities be part of the organizing committee. Would help you to develop teamwork and leadership qualities too. Library cafeteria IT room and spacious classrooms are the main attraction. Even the auditorium is very big. A marketing club has there own website. There are many clubs like music club dance club drama club etc. You can be a part of as many clubs as you want. Be sure that you develop your skills through these clubs as well. Managing clubs and studies can be a hectic task at times.

Well, my initial GD-PI rounds were supposed to take place at IBS Hyderabad. Unfortunately, I could not go there. But I did get a call from IBs Mumbai regarding the selection process one week prior to the date. The basic criteria are graduation with at least 60% Marks. But overall your ability to speak logically your confidence all these things matter. Be well prepared and thorough with certain concepts. Do not panic even if the GD topic is difficult. Gather your thoughts and talk with confidence. For PI be well prepared. You should be aware of every small detail in the cv. Stay calm and just develop a normal dialogue with the panel. Confidence is the key here.
