Remarks
The admission process was quite simple, I had applied for it through the state EAMCET exam and according to my rank, I got to this college. I did apply for other colleges but I couldn't clear their minimum rank so I was assigned, Lords. Lords is a Muslim minority college so through my minority quota I got it.
Course Curriculum Overview
At first, I wanted to join CSE but since I didn't get the required rank I went through with Information technology, I chose this course because I've always been passionate about coding. The approximate faculty: student ratio is about 1:60. The faculty members are well qualified with some of them even having PhDs in their required fields. Unfortunately among them some of them have the knowledge but don't know how to explain it to the students. The term exams are conducted as per the OU guidelines, Passing isn't difficult if you study and go.
Internships Opportunities
Don't really have much information on that as I'm in my second year still and I haven't applied for any internship yet. I'm still learning the skills required for the industry and I will probably apply for one next year.
Placement Experience
Students can become eligible for campus placements from their 3rd year or so. Some notable companies that visited the campus are Accenture, Wipro, TCS, Yellow messenger, Byju's, and many more. The highest package is 12 LPA and the average package is around 3-5 LPA for IT and CSE students. I don't exactly know the percentage of the students getting placed but it's not high.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship I received was of minority scholarship which reimburses the fees and also provides a mess fee( pocket money) to the students to spend on books and stationery. The process is quite a hassle because it requires us to provide a lot of documents and to go to many places.
Campus Life
There are many clubs in the college such as E-cell which is completely managed by students. It promotes entrepreneurial spirit among the students and motivates them to build startups. In order to build a startup, our college has a separate incubation center known as Lords TBI. At Lords TBI we build startups and provide them all the help they need, be it financially or legally. We also have a separate IPR cell that takes care of all the legal aspects of the startup.
