Remarks

the other colleges I applied for were NIT warangal, nit jaipur and iiser I didn't get in the top 4 nits, and I got in nit Jaipur and surat, but chose surat as it was near. the admission process was okay but quite tiring. the counseling day was conducted providing all the details.

Course Curriculum Overview

my focus was learning fluids and thermodynamics and practical physics, so I chose mechanical engineering. faculty to student ratio is 1:60 all professors are PhD, most proffs teach nicely exams are conducted timely

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

many scholarships are available. internships with stipend are also available after graduation, many-core companies visit, for job placement the cost to study is approx seven to eight lakhs(with hostel fees) fees remission is also possible, 2/3rd or full remission.

Campus Life

sooo many fests, so much excitement havent visited the classrooms yet die to covid but surely they'd be nice. extra curricular we have sports and many clubs(technical and cultural) we have an SAE club for building aircraft/ racing cars we have renesa,lac as literature club raag for singers etc.. also NCC & NSS

There is no major problem in the curriculum regarding to the course. The curriculum covers almost all major real-world applications. But, the there is so much detailed and compulsive study on techniques that are not even used in today's time.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.

Placement Experience:

In our college placement starts from 7th semester and students are eligible from the 7th semester. The highest package is around 21 lakh and avg package is 3.5 to 4 lakhs(companies are tcs , tatvasoft , argusoft , IBM etc.) many students get placement like more than 50 % my simple plan is to get a good job from campus placement and do job after my graduation.

Placements start to comence from 7th sem.It is the eligibility criteria for all students. Companies like Sopan Industries etc have visited the campus for placement purpose. Highest package was of around 4.9lpa and average is around 3.4lpa Most students who got placements were those with an average CGPA of 8.6

From 6 semester students become eligible for campus placement, too much companies are visited to our campus like , L&T , TATA, TCS many others around 150+ companies. Which is the highest placement in our college is that 20 lakhs and average package is that around 5 to 6 lakhs.

Inside SVNIT: A students’s UNFILTERED view

Honestly, i had applied so many NITs but due to my average score in JEE MAINS , i was getting only SVNIT and some Northen east NITs I did not choose other NITs as they are very far apart from my home state. And talking about my branch , there are various companies around my home town . Generally SVNIT accepts the admission on the basis of JEE MAINS score. SVNIT -The best for Transportation engineering

I chose SVNIT just because this is one of the best college for transportation engineering. Surat is the best city for seeing the development which is being carried out and a great infrastructure is also available. Admission process is mainly based on CCMT , JOSSHA, ISR , etc Depending on the exams which u have given, u can get selected for this college. Great college for exploring and learning.

I had a very good jee mains rank and was getting in every nit and iiits admission in some branches but still i choose this because i had interest in coding and ai.
