My college experience

I have completed my Diploma in Automobile Engineering at this college and got placed in a reputed company. But I thought to complete my graduation in Automobile Engineering. Thus I choose to complete my B.Tech degree from Sur Institute of Technology and Sports Complex. The faculty here are very supportive and Laboratories are also well equipped with modern instruments to perform various experiments. The JIS Group and College provided me with an internal scholarship of Rs. 60,000 since I persuaded my diploma from SurTech.

Love for Automobiles. As an enthusiast, my eagerness to know and grow and develop automobiles bring me into this career so without a second thought I choose Automobile Engineering as my career. Dr Sudhir Chandra Sur Degree Engineering College is really very renowned college among the private institutes for Automobile Engineering. And as a student, I have also experienced that why it is so renowned among other institutes. Professors are very highly qualified and they teach with real professionalism. They really take good care of every student. The faculty-student ratio is near about 1:20. Exams are often taken, every semester has two internal assessments. JIS Group has its own LMS.

Our College provides various Internship opportunities with INTERNSHALA to the students. Besides this, Our College is also registered on AICTE-TULIP Portal for other Internship opportunities for its students. This week we will be applying for an Internship Drive with a Pune Based Design Company named ELECTION. So, Dr Sudhir Chandra Sur Degree Engineering College has enough Internship opportunities for its students which helps in their career building.

Students studying in Diploma become eligible for Placement from Sixth Semester. Our college has a tie-up with HYUNDAI MOTOR COMPANY so we get many Placements opportunities from them. Apart from this other company like SIGMA ELECTRIC, SKH METALS, TATA AIG, TOUJOURS PERITUS, REPOSE ENERGY, CHEGG INDIA, BYJUS'S also conduct Placements drive on our Campus. Two of my Seniors are placed at BYJUS'S with 8 LPA. The average percentage of Placement is near about 70-80% which is quite high when compared with other Institutes.

The fee is very nominal when compared to other Institutes. The Institute is located in Dum Dum and access to Dum Dum is very easy as Metro Station and Airport are located nearby. In my Diploma Career, I haven't noticed any Fees Hike Policies. Like I have already said JIS provides an Internal Scholarship Program of Rs. 60000 to the students who have already studied Diploma from this Institute. Apart from this Government Scholarship Programs are also available like the Swami Vivekananda Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship, Aikashree by West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation. Manthan. Cultural and Tech Fest for which every SurTech student eagerly waits happens in March and April every year. But due to this pandemic situation, Fests and other Cultural Activities are also conducted virtually. Our college library is humongous in size with an enormous number of books and spacious to sit and study. Apart from the regular syllabus, many other books are also available in the library. Presently E-Books are provided from the library for our study purpose and all other important study materials are available on Classroom and LMS portal. Even JIS conducted a books distribution ceremony (Library On Wheels). So that pandemic doesn't affect students and their careers. Dr Sudir Chandra Sur Degree Engineering College have their own cricket and football stadium. It's 2021 and we Millennials spend most of our time on Social Media and our college readily active on Social Media like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn.
