Two revolutionary years

The admission process involved shortlisiting on the basis of CAT scores ,work experience and marks obtained in 10th,12th and graduation.Post shortlisting WAT and PI were conducted post which selection list was released. I had applied for VGSOM and IIT Kanpur MBA program ,I did not attend as I received the call from IIM Nagpur. You need to have a minimum of 90 percentile,in case of GEM profile ,calls will be based on cumulative scores where different weightage is given to scores that you obtain across 10th,12th and graduation. Counselling/Induction was wonderful ,we had a interaction with industry stalwarts & social ,business entrepreneurs on the first day. On the second day we were taken to a village which ran on biodegradable source of energy which was an enriching learning experience. The third and fourth day we had multiple games and team bonding events which helped us in honing our leadership and behavioral skills. The induction ended finally with a rigorous case study.

I choose Marketing. There are a total of 25 permanent faculty and around 10 visiting faculty. The total student strength as of now is 450 comprising of both batches. Faculties are highly qualified who have been teaching in IIM A, B, K. The case study methodology is followed by quizzes, group discussions, class activities, etc. A total of 6 terms with medium difficulty.

I was offered an internship opportunity with blue Star in the sales and marketing domain. The project was in the Bluestar pharma sector, the role was clearly defined. I was assigned a task to compile brochures and strategies of association with consultants.

The placements of college are good with quite a lot of big brands coming in the college .The prime domain of where maximum students are getting placed is consulting ,sales & marketing . Some companies which are regular recruiter are Deloitte,TVS,Bain&company,Musigma,Haldirams,V Guard,Bluestar etc. Total offers exceeded the number of stuents . The highets package was 40LPA and lowers package was 8.5 LPA. IIM nagpur has consistently achieved 100 percent placement since its inception.

The hike is around 10 percent /year. The cost would be around 150000 for 2 years. I was placed in TVS Motor company. The average package at my time was 13 which has been increasing every year with the arduous efforts of students, professors, and staff.

Every club had its events time to time and one prime event . The prime cultural fest was zero mile fest for E cell its Entromile. There are multiple books available in the library across courses.Also you will get access to a multitude of E books. Calssrooms are advanced classrooms with projectors ,circular seating arrangement and biometric attendance system. All sports activities are conducted and soprts com is very active in terms of organizing intra and inter college tournaments.

Ample space, quality of food was good, You shall be guided for registration process during the admission process Meal and accommodation are mandatory. Mess bill is around 5000/ month and there is an option to opt-out of the mess bill.

GD topics were related to startup and its work environment. 2nd topic was related to technology as an enabler. I spoke to a few college students and searched for current GD topics. The WAT and GD round had around 30 percent weightage in the final selection.
