Remarks
As for admission, I mainly applied for two entrance exams ( ipucet and bumat) and DU's merit-based admission. As I always wanted to pursue marketing, i had two options either to go for BBA in marketing or BA in marketing. I chose DU as it was a better option than IP and here I learn marketing for three years, unlike, BBA( there I would be able to learn it for one year). My admission process was simple I filled my forms conveniently through DU's online portal and as soon as the first cut-off released, I applied in CVS. Though my application took 2 days to get accepted ( those were very frustrating), I finally got a confirmation about my admission through the website, then I paid my fees, i.e, 10,150/yr, and got my admission to this college. After 2 months, in the month of november, my college took a start and thanks to covid, it was online classes. On our first day an online meeting was planned as our counselling session, where our dean gave us details about college and a virtual tour too.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was only DU college to offer BA in marketing management and retail business. My course had my interest from the very first day I found it. The student-faculty ratio is 1:10 approx for my course. All the teachers are highly qualified and fit best for their subject, the teaching method of the faculty is very friendly, they give a nice understanding through the topics too. The term exams tho, were easy this year( being OBE exams). The only con is many students fail to cope up with the online teaching medium
Placement Experience
Sixth sememster students are offered campus placements. Many big names in the industrial world visit the college like TATA, Byju's make my trip, furlenco etc. The highest package was more than 7LPA with average packages offered around 4LPA in the marketing profile. Around 70% of the students get a placement out of which 40% are able to achieve more than the average package. My plans are to go for campus interviews if got a good package I'll pursue that.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees in the college of vocational studies are?10,150/-only, which is kind of very much affordable with respect to other colleges. The fees hike is very minimal too, so far I haven't seen a hike in this college's fee for the past 3 years. There's also scope for getting financial assistance from college, students may get upto 60% fee cut from college in their financial assistance program and for that, you may have a word with the fee department of CVS.
Campus Life
CVS has more than a dozen societies and each society has their own fest that are mostly conducted in the winter season. CVS also holds one of the biggest marketing fest of DU "Incendo". College has a 2 floor library and it is pretty huge and is capable of fulfilling books and journal requirement of students. Washrooms are pretty well connected feom classrooms, some classrooms also have air conditioning facilities too. College believes that as much as curricular activities are important, sports are equally necessary and thus offer quite a good range of co-curricular activities from cricket, football, badminton, dancing activities too. The playground is also pretty big and well maintained. The college has over a dozen societies ranging from academic societies like enactus, mercadeo, TEB, FIC to skill society like dancing society, zephyr, fashion society etc. All of them are run by students under the supervision of college
Other Applied Colleges
Bharati vidyapeeth college | BBA
CVS was anyday a better option for marketing as having a degree from DU is quite beneficial
