Good Place for MBA but improvements can be made and become better

The year that I started this course the college still use to consider CET scores but they have stopped accepting them since last year. Other entrances that they consider are CAT, CMAT, and few others. The details are on the official website. So the process starts by registering for the course by entering all your academic and professional details. The registration amount is somewhere around 1,500. Next is the shortlisting, so if you are shortlisted you will receive a mail for the GD-PI round. Once shortlisted for this round then everything depends on this round if you getting in the college or no.

This course had various interesting subjects like media buying, Media Marketing, Digital Marketing along with other common subjects. The class comprised 56 students and the ratio was 1:1. All the faculty were industry experts and gave a lot of insights. Welingkar has the same exam pattern for all the courses that are Trimester pattern which means 3 terms per year. Difficulty in passing is absolutely subjective, can't comment on it.

There are good internship offers coming to the college but again that was pre-covid. Post covid things have not been too good in that sector but college is not to be blamed for it as its a global issue.

Pre-covid, college was doing great progress with a number of placements and quality of that placement. Big names like Jio, Amazon, Mercedes hire people from the college. But covid has obviously affected the quality of placement for now but even then the placement is to be carried out till at least July end to make sure everyone is placed.

When I enrolled for the course, the fee was 11 lakhs for the whole course. Next year it has gone up to 11.5 or 12 lakhs, not really sure. A student can avail of financial aid via education loans from various banks like SBI. Since the college is among the Premier colleges of India, a student can get a full 100% noncollateral loan for the fees along with an extra 1lakh for buying books or laptops or expense for any college field trip or so on.

The campus is very well made, a Great library both normal and digital, Gym, pool, and carrom space. The canteen can be improved. There are various groups for academic as well as cultural events. There are various events that are held inside the college and if a person wants to spend time on campus then he can be a part of any of the groups and make college their life.

There was a GD-PI process. The topic for GD that I was a part of was 'Is their fortune at the bottom of the pyramid'. It's a marketing concept, can be found on google. And PI was majorly focused on the past experience that I had.
