Common Entrance Test my deptt was one of the best deptt of college as per the Ranking they will give you the options(left) to choose your stream in which you may want study.

Its very tough, Practicals, projects, Seminars are very well taken care of SMIT will make you realize studying Engineering is not any cake walk however you will definatly feel proud by the end of 4 years! Engineering is all about research practicals doing live demo and this is exactly what Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology does they really focus on the stuff as much as they focus on theories the core structure is very systematically arranged which is semester passing by hold on your subject keeps getting stronger becoming semester is linked with previous semester course structure is managed in Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology.

No they dont this is somthing you need to find at your own though I am not aware of current scenario at my time this facility was not there.

Almost 90% were placed in my batch with companies like TCS, CAPEGEMINI, TECH MAHINDRA, MICROLAND, WELLS FARGO package varies from 3 lacs to 5.5lacs there were few more companies like ACC Cement mechanical department Infosys also came to our college however the bilk hiring was done by tcs they took 325 students out of 500.

At our time I paid 1.35 lacs per annum including everything which is tution fee, library fee, Mess fee, hostel fee.we used to feel it expensive but then we never regretted out decision to study there with a college built in such a beautiful place with nature all over the places alongside river Teesta its a all together a different life you live there which worth spending such money and you come out from there with precious engg degree in your hand!at the end the decision is yours if you can afford you should try and study there if you aspire to be an Engineer you should be good at Maths what I can say is you will not regret the decision of studying at Sikkim Manipal Institute of technology.

Though I was not offered any scholarship however some of my friends were studious and there tution fees were exempted as they had more than 90% in boards.

We had everything what is mentioned in the question,gender ration was healthy like 45:55 girls:boys respec, we used to celebrate every festivals,parties as in fest for all deptts, Annual college fest, dance compt., debates, discussions, student elections for all posts of college, vp, avp, cr's , cultural sec etc sports tournament for cricket, football, TT, vollyballs, kho kho, hand balls, that rope pulling game and college olympics! Economic status-good for most of them.

Hostel is world class, you will get twin share room from first year itself with seperate lat and bath two full size almirah and wash basin with mirror installed and obviously two bed, two chairs two tables and two seperate book selves wat else you ask for and wifi connection that too free Mess is okey, as usual just like any other college.

We have forums on socials sites through which we plan and meet, help each other and to juniors. Still connected to college very much infact bond is geeting stronger day by day more and more students are getting members of this forum. Recently we raised fund for a racing activity for our juniors who were taking part in racing tournament conducted at F1 racing track Noida.

I would say hectic we use to have quiz sessionals practicals semester exams coins used to happen every fortnight and normally they used to be surprise quiz it used to be of 5 marks sessional used to be of 50 marks with 50% value to add in semester.

Apart from one or two, SMIT has well qualified faculty, they love to teach by making things eaiser to understand you can reach out to them in their chambers incase you need any extra help they will be happy to help you our head of department Mr R S bera was a renowned scientist Manipal Institute has a radar laboratory is one of its kind in India I can clearly remember we used to have a subject pulse digital switching circuit and and saikia used to teach us and because of him only I fell in love with this subject and at the end I was master of it.
