Remarks
I was very particular about pursuing a diploma in specific because I wanted to learn the technical aspect of automobiles. In Bengal, specifically in Kolkata, SUR INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SPORTS COMPLEX is best known for offering courses in automobile diploma and BTech. So I did not apply to any other college and directly took admission in this college. The admission process was seamless and I got directly admitted by providing my class 10 mark sheet.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is decent enough, with all aspects of Automobiles being covered. The faculty and student ratio is 1:15 approx. They are very helpful and efficient with their work. I was basically an automobile freak since childhood so chose this platform as my career. Exams are conducted seamlessly, throughout that I have been in SUR INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SPORTS COMPLEX. Even during this pandemic, online classes and tests have been conducted by our teachers regularly through our LMS portal and Google Meet.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides internship opportunities from Internshala. Our college also organizes industrial visits with automobile giants like TATA, HYUNDAI, MARUTI SUZUKI. In the coming week, our college is going to organize an internship drive with a Pune based design company -ELEATION.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible in the 6th semester. SUR INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SPORTS COMPLEX has direct tie-ups with automobile giants like Hyundai, who offer decent placements. The other companies which show interest in our college campusing and placements are SIGMA ELECTRIC, CHEGG INDIA, BYJU'S, MARUTI SUZUKI.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is quite fair in our college. As because I have taken direct admission in this college, without giving Jexpo, I have to pay an amount of rs 20,000/- for each semester. Opportunities for scholarships have been always offered by our college, but due to my personal reasons, I didn't avail any.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is tension and stress-free. No issues of ragging and social violence have ever taken place on the college campus. A specially dedicated cell has been formed to take care of any social misconduct carried out. We have a large playground, and also have a dedicated automobile laboratory and shed. Wherein all sorts of old and modern-day technologies are taught to students, which would facilitate better knowledge and information for aspiring students.
