GSSSIETW Review

I wrote my KCET and COMEDK but ended up in a management seat because GSSSIETW was for women which were preferred by my family, and another reason had a hostel facility was one of the best colleges in Mysore. Though I'm a Bangalorean I wanted to study in Mysore. The admission for CSE was done and the hostel forms were filled and fees paid to the college and hostel.

Computer Science was a subject that interested me during my school days, hence IF chose CSE as my branch. A classroom strength will range from 50-65 students. Our batch was divided into two sections based on total strength. Faculties are very friendly and teach us the topics any number of times without any hesitation. The qualification of faculties is PhD, MS, BTech, and their teaching method is really good. Even we are allowed to explain the topics in the form of seminars. Assignments will really help us to score.

We had to do our internship in the 6th sem as mentioned in the VTU curriculum. Internship opportunities are provided in college in semester vacations and students can do internships outside in other companies also. Our juniors were provided internships by DELL Technologies through college.

GSSS is very good in placements. We have companies coming in for hiring right from the 6th semester. Even in the tough times of Covid-19, many companies had conducted virtual campus hiring in GSSS. The highest package offered so far was 19 LPA by Amazon and the Average package is 3.5 LPA.

Course fees for management seats differ based on branches. Course fees for CSE INR 170000. There are a lot of scholarships given in the college to meritorious students. Students are given awareness reading Placements from the first semester. After the completion of 3rd-year students will be eligible for campus placements. Around 80 different companies and MNCs have visited. The highest offer is 20 Lakhs and the Average is 3 LPA are offered. I have been placed in Schneider Electric for a package of 6 LPA and Cognizant for package 4 LPA.

The campus is amazing consisting of buildings for Engineering, MBA, and Architecture students. Annual College Fest Geethayana is conducted grandly. We have a library which has a good number of books that help students to read and enhance their knowledge. Cafeteria and stationery are present within the campus. GSSS is only for Women both college and the hostel are very secure.

GSSS has a hostel within the college campus. Hygiene is maintained extremely well. The cleaning staff is on duty every day. The medical facility is also available within the hostel. There is an annual hostel fest conducted grandly exclusively for hostel members. All the festivals are celebrated in hostel giving the students a home-like environment.
