Remarks
1) I had applied to chitkara and Thapar University, I didn't attend those colleges even though I was selected as they have roughly the same ranking more or less and placement is better in smvdu than these. My admission to the college happened through mat marks, the university provides scholarships to people who scored high Mark's in the entrance exam and I was lucky to be one of those students.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose MBA as I was always interested in doing management studies. The faculty to student ratio is roughly 1:8. The faculty is highly qualified, everyone has a doctorate. A mentor is given to every student who is a faculty member to make sure that the student is trained well. The level of exams was moderate.
Placement Experience
In MBA the students became eligible after the third semester or during the third semester. In normal times the placement of students was high but Coronavirus has increased a level of uncertainty that is unparalleled.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for MBA is roughly 5 lakh including hostel fees and mess charges. The hostel is compulsory for every student The scholarship is given to students who have scored high Mark's in entrance exams and for the continuation of the scholarship, they should have a minimum of 7.5 GPA per semester.
Campus Life
Campus life is good, people act as a family. Books and journals are available in the library. The projector is available in the classroom which makes students interested in lectures. In SMVDU sports tournament is held among different departments.
Hostel Facilities
During masters, every student is given a separate room in which there is a bed, a chair, a table and a drawer The meal served is ok. The hostel is compulsory for everyone to attend. The hostel is affordable and the cleanness is maintained at the hostel.
