Remarks
As students, may apply for various colleges, but I had only 2 colleges and 2 courses in my mind to opt for. I was pretty lucky to get admitted to the same course and same college that I wished for. I attended the counselling through anna university by using my cut off marks obtained in the school (HSC). Students must have a pass in higher secondary with 60% marks in the same.
Course Curriculum Overview
As previously stated, I had the course in my mind to choose mechanical engineering over other courses because I have a large degree of interest in machines and automobiles. Hence I opted for the college. There are many well qualified faculties in the department with a minimum of post-graduation. Exams were conducted on monthly basis and they were for internal assessment.
Internships Opportunities
Students are allowed to do internships and in plant training through themselves or can choose companies suggested by the college. Thereafter completing the internship, they get certificates, which gives them an extra chance to get placed through college placements. Students who do their 8th semester projects can do them in the companies and submit their review after completing.
Placement Experience
Students with the extraordinary curriculum are eligible for placement from the sixth semester. Other students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and the placement process takes place up to the 8th semester. Passed out students can also participate in placements for 1 year from course completion. Mostly, every year 95% of students get placed with a minimum package of 13,000 per month to a maximum of 35,000 per month.
Fees and Financial Aid
Students who come to college through counselling have to pay a lesser fee compared to students who are admitted through the management quota. For students through counselling, the fee ranges from 75,000 to 1,00,000 and for management seats the fee is 1,00,000 to 1,50,000 and it does not hike in the duration of completion of the course.
Campus Life
Annual fests like symposiums and sports days are conducted every year. Symposiums are conducted every year in the even semesters and outer college students can participate and showcase their talents. Whereas sports days are conducted in August or September months and are inter department ones. Students have clubs where they build projects and participate in competitions conducted all over India.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are well equipped with a gymnasium, computer laboratory, playing grounds, and televisions. Students have access to these all time and can use them when they need them when they are in the hostel. Hostel students can have non veg meals 6 days a week. The food given here is one of the best in the colleges all over Tamil Nadu.
