MY COLLEGE REVIEW

I applied for the college through counselling by anna university. I availed a schedule caste quota offered by the university, through which I had to pay a lesser fee compared to others. The student has to apply for counselling at Anna University through their website furnishing the marks obtained. To get admitted to college the student must be at least the age of 17 and should have acquired 60% of marks in higher secondary.

When I went to counselling I didn't have many options to choose and I also had a mind to choose Mechanical Engineering over other departments due to its dependability. The faculties in the college are well qualified and are talented. Exams were conducted on a monthly basis apart from semesters and were somewhat difficult to pass, as they were to train the students for semesters.

Students are allowed to do internships and in-plant training through themselves or can choose companies suggested by the college. Thereafter completing the internship, they get certificates, which gives them an extra chance to get placed through college placements. Students who do their 8th-semester projects can do them in the companies and submit their review after completing.

Students with extraordinary curriculum can get placed in the 6th semester, but for every other student, it starts at the 7th semester. Passed out students also get a year of opportunity to get placed through college. Mostly all students get placed, to be precise 90 to 95% of them get placed every year. The average salary package starts from 14,000 to a maximum of 35,000.

The fee in the college was reasonable, for me, since I came to the college through counselling and for others, the fee was a bit higher on a small scale. The student has to pay the same fee every year until he completes the course. The fee does not hike in the course of study, which is a positive one. Students can also apply for loans from banks and the college tends to help the students seeking banking loans.

Annual fests like symposiums and sports days are conducted every year. Symposiums are conducted every year in the even semesters and outer college students can participate and showcase their talents. Whereas sports days are conducted in August or September months and are inter-department ones. Students have clubs where they build projects and participate in competitions conducted all over India.
