I applied for BIT Sindri by giving JCECE exam and there my rank was 4000 and I avail myself of my seat from the PH category. I have take electrical branch by my interest. But now there is no JCECE exam as our college is admitting students by JEE mains ranking and to get admission in BIT student should have to atleast score above 92 percentile for general catagory. And for OBC above 90 , for SC ABOVE 87 , for ST above 85 and for PH above 83 percentile student have to score. Now councelling for admission is taken online . First you have to enroll then JCECE board will give a merit list in which your rank is mentioned as per you jee mains marks and based on the merit list your online councelling will be done. In online counseling you have to give preference for your college and for you branch and if you are eligible based on the merit list then the seat will be yours and college will provide you a date so that you can go and take admission.

I have chosen the electrical engineering branch in BIT Sindri because I am interested in solving problems based on electrostatic and on electrical machines i.e. in short I have chosen electrical engineering due to my interest. There is a total of 117 students in my branch and it is divided into 2 sections means both section classes are conducted separately. We have qualified and more than sufficient faculty members present in our branch. For every subject, there are 2 faculty available. And the minimum qualification of the faculty members is m. Tech and all the faculty members are very good at teaching. And in every semester 3 written exam and on eviva is conducted. Written tests i.e. 2 mid-semester and 1 end semester are conducted. Mid sem is of 20 marks and end sem is of 70 marks and the viva and practical is of 30 marks for each subject. The level of the exam of both mid and end sem is moderate (maybe some time times it is difficult) and if you have studied well then you can easily pass all the exams

Mainly tata steel gives internship to our college students, there are different internship like MOM, a merit-based internship is provided by tata steel and our also tie up internal where our college student can apply for more than thousands of internships. I also have applied for many internships which is very beneficial for me. Recently tata steel has selected 13 students of 3rd year for internship and from 13 students 4 will get a PPO offer from tata steel of package 7 LPA. And tata steel also selected 3 girl students from MOM and given the topper 1 lakh rupees and much more stuff like a pen, batch, certificate, etc.

Mainly final year student seats for our college placement but sometimes 3rd year students will also get PPO(pre placement offers) from different companies. In our college many companies come for placement like TCS, tata Steel, tata powers , vedanta , dolite etc. And the average package of our college is 4 LPA and the height package is 9 LPA given by vedanta or Deloitte. Almost all branches student get placed in placement . Approx 50-55% students get placed in our college with 4,5,6,7,8,9LPA .our main recruiter is TCS and tata Steel . My plans after taking the degree are I want to take a job in PSUs like BHEL , ONGC for which I have to give GATE exam and currently I am preparing for that.

Our college fee is very cheap. Our annual college fee is only Rs15000 and annual hostel fee is Rs5000 and annual electricity fee is Rs 2000 and the monthly mess charge is only Rs 3000 (i.e. Rs 100 per day) and our semester examination fee is Rs1600. Means total annual fee include mess charge for our college is aproxx Rs55000. And about scholarship if your rank is less then 600 them you can fill a scholarship named as BITsa is which you have been given annual Rs40000 . And also you can scholarship if you belong to OBC, SC, ST by filling e-kalyan(most students in BIT Sindri fill this scholarship) in which you will get Rs20000-25000 annually and if you are of pH catagory then you can fill NSP scholarship in which you will get Rs30000 annually.

Our annual fest name is Bitansh and it is organized in February and our tech fest is sandhaan which organized int he month of September, in both events, And also there are more than 10 clubs including one NGO in our college in which you all can join and learn a lot of things other than academics. These club activities help us to increase our communication skills and also if you join any club then you can increase your connection in all batches. There is a library in our college where more than 15000 books are available for all streams. There is also is book bank of 5000 books for ST students. In our college, there is a very big field where there is a seperate court for basketball and volleyball and all the sports equipment are present and additional to that there is a gym in our college which is maintained by a sports club which is free of cost.

The hostel facility of our college is very good. In the first and second year, 4 students live in one room, in the third year 1 or 2 students live together, and in the final year, every student lives in an individual room. In the hostel 24/7, water and electricity are available and also in every hostel there is a small group in which all students play badminton, volleyball, cricket, etc. And in every hostel, there are mess facilities available and the food quality is good. They give meals 3 times a day and take Rs 100 per day. At the time of admission, If you want a hostel you have to pay a one-year hostel fee and 2 months mess fee at the time of admission. If you don't take a hostel then their many rooms available outside the campus where you can rent a room.
